That's what (name of choice) has heard her/his whole life. But when you're a homeschooled, child those are easy things to do.
Now, when your doctors decides it is best for you to go to high school on your Sophomore year, that becomes kinda complicated.
You faint during class, thanks to the strung drugs you've been drinking because of your kidney disease. Soon you find out one of your classmates had carried you to the infirmary, and he/she hadn't left your side.
Maybe everyone was wrong. Maybe talking to someone isn't as dangerous as everyone made it seem.
Will (name of choice) be able to make new friends in this new world they've been brought into?
