*It was nice to meet you.
*Goodbye.
And it was at that moment that Frisk realised there was more to Asgore than they had previously thought. As the lonely king revealed his mighty trident, trying to hide his shame by looking straight at the ground, Frisk discovered that he had knowledge of the interface, something only monsters who had previously lived on the surface knew about. Asgore was one of those monsters, having fought in the war against the humans himself, leading them courageously into battle. He was much younger back then. Now he was old and tired, a shell of his former self wanting to end this as soon as possible. Asgore raised his trident over the mercy button, then swiftly stabbed it downwards, smashing the option to pieces while Frisk's vision filled with darkness.
