I woke up early in the morning to see the sun shining through the blinds. I threw my heavy quilt over my feet and forced my tired legs to stand. I ran into the bathroom and tied my hair in a messy bun then threw a sweatshirt over my pajama top. Quickly sliding my feet into my boots I ran outside at full speed. I paused, "I'm going to Lily's house mom be back later!" I yelled into the kitchen. Hopping onto my black and purple bike I pedaled over to Lily's house.
"Bella I was so worried you wouldn't make it over!" My slightly taller darker haired friend waved me over.
"Yeah and miss the last time ill like, ever get to see you again! Ha you wish!" I joked as I slowed the bike as it neared the moving van.
"I'm going to miss you a lot Bella, what will I do without you getting us into trouble." She laughed but I could tell it wasn't real, we had promised each other we wouldn't get upset and that we would keep in touch but I was still uneasy and I could tell she was as well.
We sat is silence for more than long enough when Mrs. Harper yelled out the window of a once full house "Want some water or something girls?" She asked us.
"No thanks ma" I smiled politely to Lily's mother. If your wondering why I called her mother ma its because me and Lily worked this thing out so I call her mom, mom and vise versa.
"Are you sure you don't want any thing we have Kool aids, water, milk, juice, lem-" lily cut her off.
"MOOOOOOM, WE.ARE.FINE." Scolded lily. We both let out a bunch of giggles.
I looked at lily and envied her beautiful golden brown hair and her perfectly placed freckles. She always wore the best clothing; a plaid shirt with a pair of ripped jeans or a purple shirt with a jean jacket and black leggings or something else that made her look like a model. There are tons of boys at the Westernburry middle school that will miss her with out a doubt but since she was the hottest girl in school I became the second hottest so therefor I will now be the center of attention.
I watched as Lily drove away in the front seat of her moms SUV. For the first time since I moved here I cried. I let the tears slide swiftly down the edge of my face onto the driveway.
