Author's Commentary in Rough Drafts

Welp, I found this while going through computer files. It's a rewrite of the almost kiss scene with Jerza and apparently and I was jotting down the dialogue, I apparently put author commentary? So anywho, here it is.

E: So, you remember everything that happened?

J: I do.

E: Does that include what happened to Simon?

J: *pause* He died by my hand.

E: What about the Nirvana incident?

J: Everything.

J: I remember it as being trapped in a fog of amnesia. It's a strange feeling.

E: Is it accurate to say I'm speaking with the J I knew as a child?

J: *looks down at hands as they grip on tighter* I'd be happy if you thought of it that way, but given my crimes, I won't blame you if you keep your distance.

J: *looks up* and if you decide to avenge Simon, I won't try to stop you. My life was forfeit long ago.

E: *looks away* Do you honestly think Simon would want you to die?

E: *looks back at J* What about your new guild and all the good you've done through it? Why can't dedicating your life to fighting the darkness be your atonement?

J: *freaking looks down again* because... I don't think it can.

E: Why not?!?

J: Don't get me wrong, when I first created Crime Sorciere, I hoped it would bring me peace. But the things I did at the Tower of Heaven can't be made right that easily.

J: Is there really a point to what I'm doing? Will these horrible thoughts ever go away? I feels so lost.

J: Perhaps it's best if I did die-

*E slaps J, which shuts him up good*

E: You'd be satisfied with the coward's way out?!?

J: I don't have the strength to overcome this. Not like you.

E: You think you need to be strong in order to live? YOU'RE WRONG! Life itself is what gives us strength!

*J says nothing, which really makes me want to push him down a cliff for some "random" reason*

*E grasps his shoulders*

E: I don't see the old J before me! That man was full of life! He would never give up without a fight!

J: Maybe he's dead then.

*I swear if I'm hit by the feels one more time, I'll smash my head against the keybalsjdfa;ojdscjoewjpm9jsdokfjkljfakirweuijrefdujirewafds8u9iojarwefdsu89ijkasdp98uijoekafsdu98ijokefds89ijowea*

*E lifts him up by his coat collar*

E: SNAP OUT OF IT!

J: It's too late.

*Dangit, J, stop being such a pemmissit!*

*The tumbling thing happens, yadayadayada*

J: You always know what to say, don't you?

E: That's not true at all. I just stumble through life one day at a time. That's all.

J: E....

E: I... thought I'd never see you again...

*E crys*

*ALMOST KISS SCENE HAPPENS!*

*J pulls away*

J: I can't.

*J refuses to look at E, and we know what that means: G U I L T Y!*

J: I have a fiancé.

*inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale....*

Alright, you obviously did this so you could make your little one shot, so use your little brain and fix up the ending, so that your own little fangirl needs are satisfied.
