Haunted by You

CHAPTER 3

The next day, I rented a cab and drove straight to  Alexandria. It was a 10 hour journey and I started early morning around 4:00. The car had GPS facility which further helped me reach there in less than 9 and a half hours....  The land had an old house which seemed to look like it was  built,  way before the time my parents were born anyways that was none of my business. I got down from the car and inquired about the house All the people said that the house was locked for many days, and only a couple visits the house twice a month, I understood that it was my parents. In that letter there was a document that stated that the key was with a guy called Jerry Toves. I went to this guys house and his son answered the bell. He introduced himself and his name was Derek Toves and he told me " My dad passed away few months back, he was really close with your dad and mom, when he reached his deathbed, he gave me the key to that house and he told me that you will come in search of him one day and all your questions are answered upon you opening the door of that house" . I felt really sorry for him and I told" You have my deepest condolences and I am forever grateful to your family, If you need anything please don't hesitate to ask me". He told me that he wanted to come with me. So we both left and I opened the door to the mysterious house, there were cobwebs and the house was filled with dust. I signaled him to open the drawers and check for any papers which was related to my parents. I climbed the stairs and there were many pictures of my mom and dad. I touched those pictures with anxiety to know whether they are still alive. I called Derek but he couldn't find any paperwork except for a letter which was written to my parents by a woman called Amy Holly, I couldn't read the letter because the letters were not visible. There was an attic on the top floor,we climbed and we found a big box we opened it and the stench was horrible.. And I opened the box with trembling hands and...............
