"Oh, How about this one?" Papa picked up an antique genie lamp. "I bet if you rub it a genie comes out. I have to buy this one."

"Papa how many times should I remind you, Mama warned you that she will throw out your soccer sofa if you buy yet again another antique." I chuckled at Pops antics. His obsession with antiques is weirdly worrying, believe it or not he has a whole cupboard filled with beautiful antique pieces, hell the man even has a naked statue which apparently is like a century something old, he wasted alot of money on it. Needless to say mom made him sleep in the living room that night.

"But look at it. How can you not look at the intricacy on this beautiful piece of art?" Papa actually whined in front of me -his 14 year old daughter- and Valeria my sister who is one younger to me , and the pain in my ass, who could be least bothered by her surroundings considering her face was always in her phone. Some times I wish I could just shove it down her throat but i'm not violent so I won't do that.

"Alejandro I am giving you 5 seconds before I come over there and snatch that away from you." Mama said loudly to my Papa from the other end of the large wooden antique store. Now personally Mama is a little hypocritical in this situation because like I said Papa collects antique souvenirs and statues but Mama collects antique jewelry. And so she is on the other end of the store fawning over antique jewelry. My parents were made for each other.

Papa made a scrunched up face like a 3 year old after crying pissed face, which made all of us chuckle. Suddenly we heard the just hit puberty kinda voice shouting from the ground floor "Oh come on its all chill bro we only want to check out the stuff." I ran over too the railing of the stairs  to see this 5'6 ish guy standing in the doorway with a couple of his friends looking drunk off their asses which should be illegal considering they look around my age. I admit they were not a sore sight to see, especially the won who had spoken and now was fighting with the store owner. Those striking anger filled sea blue eyes.

Free entertainment at an antique store is just fantastic I thought as I leaned against the railing, staring at the argument which was getting very heated might I say. Finally I heard the store owner threaten them by saying that he will call the police. This caught their attention and their faces turned bitter as they backed away cursing under their breath. I wonder why these teenage drunk boys wanted to come into an antique shop.

I heard the roar of engine around 10 minutes later and saw those boys driving off through the window. Valeria chuckled at me while I kept on staring at the car as it drove away. "They were hot." she said to me and nudged me stomach, "Totally would tap that." I smirked at her as we both chuckled and walked down the stairs leaving Mama and Papa up there to assess the antiques.

After a minute or two of just standing there something caught my attention "Valeria is something burning?" I questioned her sniffing the air. It was as if my questioning was the signal for some one to start screaming. "Fire! Fire!" All heads turned to the direction of the voice. Everybody started panicking and started to run through the door causing a blockage to the entrance.

Smoke filled in the shop faster than you can imagine. My eyes started to sting and it was hard to keep them open. I looked to my side to see that my sister was no where in sight. "Valeria! Valeria!" I screamed getting no response.

The fire had caught up from the back of the shop and spread wildly to the upper floor. The upper floor where my parents were. The ceiling had started to break causing pieces of wood covered in flames to fall down, one of it falling right in front of the stair case which was the only way down from the upper floor. I started to run towards the stairs but tripped over a piece of wood causing my ankle to twist and my head to hit the ground, some one caught hold of my hand and pulled me back up. "We have to run." said an unfamiliar male voice in my ear and I felt him pick me up in his arms running towards the back exist.

"No, Let me go! My parents and my sister are in there. Please No!" I cried as I begged the boy to let me go back but he ignored my comments and ran outside in the broad day light and out of the burning hell.

Before I could even properly see him, let alone tell him to take me back because my family is in there, He put me on the ground, turned around and ran back in the shop all the while I was still trying to pry open my burning eyes. I tried to get up and shout out for some one to help my family but I only fell back down. My hand went to my head which was bleeding and my twisted ankle refused to let me stand.

Everything started to spin rapidly and the last thing I saw before blacking out was my sister running towards me with tears running down her face and then everything went black.
