Taryn
I'll admit, I was a little creeped out by the voices that kept entering my head. I recognized one as my long lost sisters', and another belonged to Lois, but the last voice was new. It was masculine, very deep, and by what I'd heard, my sister's secret admirer. None of these thoughts were directed towards me, but for some reason, I kept intercepting them.
I was brought out of my thoughts by Lois. "Taryn, will you excuse us for a little bit? I have to talk to your protector." I didn't really care to hear what they were saying anyways. "Sure. I kinda wanted to hangout with Sailor. Just call me when you want me back." I said as I headed out the door. I took my phone out and called Sailor. "Hello?" She had picked up in two rings. "Sailor, hey! I was wondering... did you wanna hang out?" I asked, but knew she would be on her way in t-minus five seconds. "Sure! I'll meet you at our place in ten." She told me. "Okay, see you in a bit!" I hung up and headed there.
I sat waiting at our special hang out place for about 15 minutes, then, when she wasn't there, I decided to call her again. She picked up after one ring this time, which was a new record. "Hey! What's taking you so long?" I asked. "Sorry, my mom asked me to take out the trash before I left. I'm right around the corner." I looked to my left, and sure enough, about 20 feet away was Sailor. I hung up the phone and ran to her, pulling her in and embracing her. She pushed me away after five seconds. Sailor never really liked hugs anyways, but I hadn't seen her in so long, and I just needed a hug. "What's up?" I asked her. "Nothing much. I just...I've had a lot of things going on lately. That's why I haven't been able to talk or hang with you much." She seemed uneasy, like she was hiding something. I decided to lighten the mood. "Well now you're here and free for my disposal!" I said, grinning. She smiled back at my words, and we started walking towards the mall.
Out of nowhere, there was a rustle noise coming from the bushes. "Did you hear that?" I asked looking around. "Oh, you're probably just paranoid with all the nightmares you've been having." In one swift movement, two big men in black outfits came running out of the bushes and put a cloth on both of our mouths. I look over just in time to see Sailor pass out, then everything went black.
I woke up in a dark place. Was it night already? Then I remembered Sailor and I walking to the mall and getting kidnapped. Oh no where's Sailor? I thought, panicking. I looked around to see cells. There were four, all connected to form a giant square crossed vertically and horizontally. To my left, there was a walkway. The cell in front of me held Sailor. "Oh my gosh! Sailor are you all right?" I went over to her to see she was still out cold. "She'll be fine. The rag was just chloroform. No permanent damage." The boy in the cell to the right of me said. I turned to him. "How would you know?" "She actually woke up before you and started throwing a tantrum. It was actually the best thing that's happened all bloody-" He was cut off by a scream. I suddenly realized why this place looked familiar.I look towards the door where the screaming finally stopped. "RANI!" I yelled, and started banging on the door. They opened up the cell diagonally from mine, and threw her in. I heard the boy gasp. I look over to him to see worry in his eyes. Then, when he saw her chest moving up and down, he calmed down. "I forgot to ask, what's your name?" I requested. He looked over and smiled. "Oh sorry, how rude of me. My name is Sir waffle-lover, but you can call me Ryder for short." He said with a smile trying to lighten the mood. "Yours?" I stared dreamily at his dashingly blue eyes. He cleared his throat. "Oh, right sorry...My name is Taryn." I told him.
Then we heard stirring and saw that Sailor was waking up. We both got serious. "How long have I been out?" I said to myself, thinking thoroughly. "I'd say, 11 hours, 47 minutes?" Ryder looked down at a watch on his wrist, then stared at me in awe. Before he had time to say anything, Sailor sat up. "Who are you?" She asked. "I'm Ryder, and the girl over there is Rani. From the looks of it, she's now conscious." I looked over, and sure enough Rani was now awake and looking at us. "Who are you?" She asked Sailor and I in a small voice that was struggled, but strong willed. So this is my sister. I've always wanted one, but now that I have one, I don't know what to think.
