Chapter 22

Brooklyn's POV

I gave the project yesterday and I am thankful to be done with Noah.

"BROOKLYN COME DOWN I HAVE SURPRISE!" My mom shouted from downstairs.

This is weird she never has surprises for me. Now I am curious. I went downstairs and on my way down the stairs I couldn't believe my eyes.

"Dad!" I said running jumping giving on my dad biggest hug ever. My dad doesn't travel that much but this summer he had to travel for 3 months. He was suppose to return next week.

"I see you missed me pumpkin." He said messing with my hair with a big smile on his face.

"I thought you were coming next week." I said still excited.

"I finished work early so I said why don't I give you surprise." he said while giving me a kiss on the cheek.

I missed him so much.

"And you came just in time for dinner." My mom said.

I helped dad with his luggage and went to help mom with setting up the table. We were all seated at the table and started eating.

"So how is school?" Dad asks me.

"Good I still get straight A's." I say smiling proudly.

He smiled after that

"Did anything new happen?" He asked then I remembered.

"Ohhh yes remember Violet." I always talk about her he nodded.

"Well she came to California and is now in my school well we kind of now spent more time together than texting."

"That's great honey." he says his eyes lit up.

"And she has a boyfriend now." My mom says winking at me.

He almost chocked on his drink he shot his eyebrow "A boyfriend?"

"Yeah.... he is Violet's twin brother remember when I told you about the prank when I made him sit in the rain for 3 hours."

He nodded.

"Yup that's him"

"What's his name?"

"Liam"

"How old is he?"

"My age"

"How did you meet him?"

Is this an interview or something.

"At the park."

He just nodded.

"I think I should meet him myself."

"Why don't we have them for dinner I want to meet there mother as well." My mom said.

Great.

"Yeah that would be a great idea." Dad said.

"Great it's settled then."

After we finished dinner I went up to text Violet.

Violet💜= Hey your mom just invited us to dinner is there anything?

Brooklyn💙= yeah dad cam from his trip and he kinds of wants to meet Liam.

Violet💜= oh this will be good

Brooklyn💙=shut up

Violet💜=Hey mom's friend just opened a new spa and she asked mom to bring someone with us so mom told me to invite you and your mom.
