Laura
"Look Laura. This guy is the only one that can get the job done properly, besides you of course" Mr Paldrego said, eyeing Laura. "Sir, you know I quit that the day Jasmine was born. I am not going to get my hands dirty again" Laura said.
"Alright. Then you should stop threatening Theodore. We need him" Mr Paldrego said. "Sir, this guy is bad news, he-" "As you haven't failed to mention before" Mr Paldrego interrupted. "We already spoke about this Laura. I really don't want to be rash with you. But you are pushing my buttons" he said.
"Your buttons, or Mr Theodore's buttons?" Laura asked, mockingly. Mr Paldrego just shook his head. "Don't tell me you're afraid of a nineteen year old boy!" Laura scoffed. "I am not afraid of him! But he is quite intimidating" Mr Paldrego said. Laura chuckled.
"Laura, just stay out of his way alright?" he said. "Fine" she said. "Good. I am allocating you to work in the prisoner's department, for the whole of next week" Mr Paldrego said. "Prisoner's department? Why? It's horrible down there" Laura said. "Well, Orego's sick, and there is no one to take care of his sector, besides you" Mr Paldrego smiled.
Laura just sighed. "Yes boss" she said bitterly. "Good. You need to chill out, take a chill pill" Mr Paldrego said. Laura smiled. "You know, what I find so amusing? It's the fact that you boss, a fifty something year old, uses teenage terms" she said. "I believe it is the best personality trait on me. And you have to admit it. "It's why you love me" he smiled.
"Oh boss. The only reason I love you, is because at the end of every month, you pay me a salary" she smiled, knowing that she was lying to herself.
Tyranna
"So, tell me more about yourself" Mickey asked, watching her every move. Tyranna felt like she was being interrogated. She looked at him. He had a short black beard, and gelled back hair. He had an amused expression on his face.
She knew what he thought. He thought that she had made all of this up, just to get attention. But she hadn't, and she would prove it. "You already know all you need to know about me" she said. She wasn't used to speaking to adults that way, but she was fed up with his disbelief. It intimidated her in a way. "Tyranna, cut it out. You don't really have these psychopathic dreams do you?" he asked, challengingly.
"I wouldn't call them psychopathic. But you know what? If you really don't believe me, then I believe that I am wasting my time here. And so are you" she said firmly as she stood. "So this is real?" he scoffed. "You really dream of people's murders?" he asked. She nodded, a little irritated. "You didn't just research this boy's death, find all the details of his death then make up this crazy story?" he asked. "Why would I do that? The first time I ever saw that boy, was in my dream, being killed. And the second time I saw him, it was on the printed photo that Ms Othene had shown me. The same goes with the old man" Tyranna said honestly. "So. You've just had these 2 dreams?" Mickey asked.
Tyranna shook her head. "I've had four of those dreams already" Tyranna said. "Tell me more about this boy. What did he look like after he was killed?" "Well. The murderer had tied his green sweater around the boy's neck. The boy had started coughing up blood. His eyes were swollen and his nose was bleeding, because the murderer had punched him in his face a few times. The murderer had punched him in his left hip quite a few times aswell, to stop his cries" Tyranna said, cringing at the memory of the dream. The horror that she had felt. The fear that had washed over her.
She had wanted to save the boy, but she couldn't. Mickey looked at a few pictures. He stared at one of them for a few seconds, then looked at Tyranna. "Tony, the boy. He had a broken left hip. That wasn't mentioned in the article. So there is no way that you could know that, unless..." he paused. "Unless what?" Tyranna asked. "Unless you saw it all happen" he said. "Saw it all happen through my dreams" Tyranna said.
Mickey looked confused. Tyranna saw that he desperately wanted a way to find a fault in something that she had said, but he couldn't. "Do you remember how the murderer looked?" Mickey asked, seriously, for once. He believed her. "Clear as daylight" she said as she pictured the man in her head. She would never forget him. "Don't spare any details" he said.
"He had a dark complexion and grey eyes. He was shorter than the boy, but clearly stronger. He wore green, just like they always do. He was bald though" Tyranna said.
"So. If we do find this guy. And that's a big if. Then you are 100% sure that he killed Tony Marthew?" Mickey asked. "No. But I do have a strong feeling about it" Tyranna said.
