Life without Dad

Maia's POV

I couldnt believe Max would actually leave his own child fatherless. I sat up on the bed amd started thinking about all the things that my little girl would ask about him. I just don't want her to grow up without a father. I'd rather tell her when shes older then to never let her know where her Dad is. I opened the door and headed down stairs. "Hey Maia." I heard Riyin say. I stood beside Mrs. Foster as she held my baby in her arms. I smiled as she wrapped her little hand around my  finger. She started to fuss a little so I took her in my arms and calmed her down. "What's her name?" Naomi asked. "Actually Max and I were supposed to think of a name for her but apparently he's not ready to be a father to his own child". "What?" Naomi said.

"Well that's crap." Kyle said. "I know." I said in agreement. "Can I hold her?" Naomi asked. "Sure." I responded and slowly handed my baby to her. I watched as she smiled lightly at the little bundle of joy in her arms. "You think we'd have a baby this cute Kyle?" I heard her ask. "I know for a fact that we'll have a baby that cute, but lets wait until were married to think about babies." Naomi chuckled and started cooing to her. "Plus with my good looks and your brains our baby is bound to be smart and attractive." He said smirking. "Shut up." Naomi said with a light chuckle.

Naomi's POV

I lolked down at Maia's baby in my arms. She was so cute, maybe one day Kyle and I will have a baby. Pretty sure the last thing Riyin wants to be is an aunt. I handed the baby back to Maia. "Well we'll see you guys later." Maia said as she picked up her bag and left. "You want me to drive you home?" Mrs. Foster asked. "Yeah sure." Maia responded. Calli and Sabrina left and went home a few minutes after them. Jaiden, Nick, AJ, and Riyin stayed downstairs and watched TV. "Hey Nay can I talk to you for a sec?" Kyle asked. "Yeah sure." I replied. We headed upstairs to AJ's room, and I sat on his bed. Kyle closed the door, and sat next to me. He held my hands in his amd stared into my eyes. Last time we had a moment like this was on the last day of school during Senior year. "Nay we've been together for a yearn, now and I think its time we.."

"Your breaking up with me aren't you." I said cutting him off. "What no I love you way too much to even think about that". He said. "The thing is I.." he reached into his pocket and I saw a huge diamond ring. For a second I swore I was dreaming. "Holy shnit." I said in shock. "Naomi Ariana Wilson, would you make me the happiest man in thw world by..." I smashed my lips against his a little to hard. He fell back onto the pillows, as he wrapped his arms around me. "So I guess that's a yes?" he asked. "Yes." I replied. He put the ring on my finger and before he could speak I ran downstairs shouting "IM ENGAGED"! "Wait what!?" Riyin said as she jumped over the counch. "Im engaged!" I showed her the ring. "Whoa...whoa wait a minute you engaged..to whom"? She asked. "Who else do you think." Kyle said walking up to me. "Your engaged to Kyle!?" "Soon enough to be Mrs. Jefferson".

"Wait a minute so your gonna be my brother-in law." Riyin said. "No I'm gonna be your step-brother." Kyle said sarcastically. I cooked dinner and we all ate. We all decided to have a sleepover. Kyle, Riyin, AJ, and I slept in the living room. Nick and Jaiden slept upstairs. Before I fell asleep I looked down at the 14 karat ring. I thought about the life I was going to have with Kyle. We might even have another pair of little feet running around to.
