Yoichi's POV
I slid into the car, clicking my seat belt into the clasp and sitting quietly, eyes fixed on my feet. It had been only a week since I had seen my family, but it felt like much longer. They day I ran out, they were completely different people. They were no longer the parents I had previously known. My Dad grasped the steering wheel, and I could tell he was tensing.
"Yoichi, pass my your phone," he mumbled.
"Um, pardon?"
"Pass me your fucking phone." His voice raised dramatically and I was taken back, fearing another strike. My mother swiftly hit him, scolding him for swearing, but I wasn't entirely sure. I wasn't really listening. Instead, I was too busy trying to behave and not make him angrier anymore than he clearly already was.
"Yoichi, give me your phone. We don't want you contacting Yuichirou." My mother offered out her hand and waited for me to place my mobile into her hands, the stern expression on her face showing me that she was entirely serious. Why didn't she want me to contact Yuu? She hadn't seen us holding hands anymore, had she? Reluctantly, I handed it over.
"May I ask wh-"
"No, you may not," My father blurted, cutting me off.
"We're moving. We just need to get away," Mom's voice began cracking, as if she was about to cry. "We don't know what's going on in that deluded head of yours, but we think it has something to do with your friends, and especially Yuichirou. So we're moving away."
No, no, no. I subconsciously fisted my hand into my hair completely taken back by this proposition. I couldn't move away, I wouldn't. Every inch of my body was telling me I had to stay here, with my other friends and with Yuu. The mere thought of leaving him made me sick to my stomach.
"No..." I whispered, my voice trembling. "We can't move...I-I won't move."
"You'll do as you're told." My fathers voice was hard and cold and I could tell he had no intention of changing his mind.
"I won't leave Yuu-kun..." I could feel the same sickening confidence growing that had caused conflict the last time I had seen my parents. "I refuse to leave that beautiful boy behind while you drag me away and force your pathetic, bigoted views down my throat!" The car fell silent. I think my face was probably more shocked then theirs.
"Drive, we'll sort this out when we get home."
