Chapter 5

Ange looked out the window of her hotel, feeling kind of anxious as she waited for Sergio. She hadn't gone out on a date for the longest time. It wasn't that she didn't want to or that she wasn't asked but she had always had something going on that made her not have any time to date. First it was school, then it was work, work, and work.

So yes, she had every right to feel nervous.

*Ringring*

Her head turned to the direction of her phone as it chimed, blonde hair swishing behind her as she made her way towards it.

And there it was, a text from Sergio.

I'm here

She never knew that just two words could make her so nervous. She rubbed her suddenly sweaty palms on her jeans, reflexively fixing her hair while waking towards the door, grabbing her purse on the way out.

You can do this Ange, man up!

She coached herself as she walked towards the Lexus RX, surprised that it wasn't some sports car.

She saw Sergio step out of the car and grinned when he saw her. He gently grabbed her hand.

"You look beautiful" He said to her, making her blush. She wasn't wearing anything fancy and was surprised to hear the compliment.

"Thank you. You look wonderful too" And he really did, he was wearing a pair of jeans as well, and a simple shirt but he looked as handsome as ever.

"So where is he?" Sergio's face softened as he looked at Ange who was genuinely excited to see his son.

"He's in his car seat, he finally fell asleep after a eventful morning" Ange giggled at him when he winced, knowing what he meant by the barely there dark circles he sported.

Ange stepped into the car, admiring the interior as she sat down, thanking Sergio for holding opening the door for her.

"The interior is beautiful" Ange complemented, buckling herself up.

"Sí, I had to buy a new car after Raphaël was born, before then, all I had were sports cars" Ange laughed, since she had been wondering about that. As expected of an athlete.

Then, she turned around slowly to get a look at the baby. Sergio just watched her silently, not yet starting the car.

Her eyes softened as soon as she laid her eyes on the small baby. She gazed over his features, soft wispy blonde hair, rosy cheeks, and a small button nose.

"He's beautiful" She breathed out, reaching out and stroking Rafa's cheek.

"He is" Sergio agreed quietly, happy to just watch. This was going better than he thought it would go, he was worried about his son and her not liking him but it all seemed ridiculous now.

Ange gasped as Sergio parked in front of Sergi Arola Gastro. She had seen the restaurant in a magazine back in the states and she can't believe that he had brought her here!

"Oh my gosh, Sergio" Ange looked at Sergio who was grinning at the fact that she had liked his place of choosing.

Ange looked, down to unbuckle her belt, one hand already reaching for the door handle, only to grab air. Confused she flipped her head towards the door.
