{Aubrey's p.o.v.}

Alright. I can do this. New day, new me, new town.

Who am I kidding? I'm a country girl, not some makeup loving gossiping brat.
Whatever, like I said, I can do this.

I stepped out of the shower after I snapped out of my thoughts and got dressed for the first day of college.

"Bye babe." I said to my German Shepard/ huskey dog, as I grabbed my keys and hopped in my truck.

"Alright all I have to do is listen to Siri and hope her slow ass leads me to college." I said whispering to myself.

After who knows how long, I found the place and parked. I stepped out of my lifted dodge, earning a few looks from the people around me.

"Damn Mami is that yo daddy's truck?" I heard a guy call out.

I rolled my eyes and kept walking to the doors of the large school.

I took a step inside and saw girls everywhere wearing leggings and sweaters. I looked down and realized I was wearing a hoodie and jeans. I shrugged and kept walking to my morning class.

"Hello class." The extremely attractive male professor said to us.

Everyone mumbled in response. Typical Monday morning I guess.

"Alright, come to the front of the room and grab a textbook that you will need to keep for the year, that is, unless you slackers don't ever show up again." He said making a joke to himself.

"Anyways take a textbook and start pages two threw four, I want all homework in tomorrow, if you don't have it done, don't bother to show up honestly."

I think he was being a little too honest.

I grabbed a text book and set my backpack down next to me and started on the questions. Well, I was until a guy decided to interrupt that.

"Hey" he said staring into my eyes.

"What do you want?" I whispered.

"Just trying to make this class go by faster. What's up with you?"

"Look if your going to be rude"

"Okay okay sorry. Wanna work together?" He said pulling a chair up next to me.

"I guess." I said sitting up and turning towards him.

"Okay so-"

He was interrupted by the bell.

"Isn't so fun to be interrupted is it?" I said smirking.

"Yeah okay short stuff." He said messing up my hair and walking off.

"Wait!" I called out.

"Yeah?" He asked turning around.

"We should talk more, what's your number?"

"Oh, well here give me your phone." He said hesitating.

"Sure." I said, handing him my phone

"Alright there you go." He said giving me my phone.

"Thanks." I said, shoving my phone into my pocket.

There was a long moment of nothing. No noise no wind no nothing. "Well you should call me short stuff." He said as he started to walk off.

"Will do." I said turning around and walking to my last morning class.

"Oh, by the way, the names daxton." He added and kept walking.
