I'm so excited I could squawk! But I mustn't, I have to make a good impression. As I am a classy crow. I wiggled impatiently in the hands of a human calling herself Mrs. Lim. I chose her because she needs me the most. I'm for her son Euro-san. She is worried about him isolating himself from people in the future. My job as an animal teacher is guide him in his life with all my knowledge and wisdom. Mrs. Lim was a Korean who had blond hair like that of a golden wheat meadow. And wore a denim jacket and pants with a white tank top underneath. The most sparkling necklace of a ruby lady bug hung around her neck from a silver chain matching her eyes . Holding myself back from trying to swipe it away was a trial of mental endurance. Ruby bug ruby bug bug shiny- all train of thought was blown out of my mind when I heard her voice right outside her hands.
"Make sure to be quiet and still. I want you to be a surprise please." A voice of honey radiated in my head.
I listened intently to what was happening now. I heard Mrs. Lim call out. And a young voice call back. It was the voice of the boy probably.
"I brought you something very special for you Euro-san. That you will have with you the rest of you life." She said sweetly.
The boy made sounds of delight and excitement. He's so excited to see his gift, to see me.
Bright light flooded my vision as the cover of her hands unfolded above me. My eyes adjusted and I saw the boy. A petite Korean child. He had blond looks reminiscent of his mother, and ruby eyes to match. He wore a red jacket and khaki pants. And brown leather shoes. I expected those ruby eyes to sparkle with wonder and joy. But his face was turned into a frown of disappointment. Eyebrows furrowed. Why? Why such a look, and at me.
"Do you like your new teacher Euro-san? She said holding me out closer to him.
"I told you I don't need one!" Euro-san backed up and shot a glare at me and his mom. Ruby eyes sparked.
"I'm sorry, I thought once you saw one up close you might change your mind about it." Mrs. Lim whispered to the air. There was a long tense silence. I didn't know what I could say to help the situation. Euro-san turned away from us and ran off. I was bewildered by his attitude. But I'm supposed to be his teacher. The hands under me cupped my body nicely and I was pulled towards Mrs. Lim. She held me close to her chest. She was grieving and her heart was whispering all of her emotions and thoughts through the rhythmic beats. I closed my eyes and absorbed them.

I'm afraid. I worry for him. How can I help him.

At once I squirmed from grasp and fluttered into the air. The Landscape laid out before me and created a new map in my mind. We were in her backyard, it was lush and green with life. A two story house stood proud. And to the right and back was a small forest. I hovered close to the ground looking for the boy.
