I still remember everything about that moment. The pain, the disappointment, the defeat. The pain that he was leaving me. The disappointment that my biggest fear had come true. The defeat that there was nothing I could do about it. All of it. But I had to conceal all of my emotions behind a smile, that served as a mask. A mask to not inflict any pain onto that beautiful sunshine that is Hinata. It was about a week before graduation and he came over to my house to plan the graduation party we were going to host.
"We have to invite all of our senpais and make sure each and every one of them comes," he said with that cheeky grin of his.
"Of course,"I said,"It wouldn't be a party without them. It feels kind of weird that the party is for us instead of them this time."
"Yeah I know. We're all older now, and leaving our entire high school lives behind. Volleyball, our friends, even Karasuno itself. It's all so sad, and soon."
He had the saddest face I'd ever seen on him. His eyes were foggy and his lips were pursed so tightly that it almost looked like he didn't have any. I didn't know what to do or what to say. But I had to do something... I had to find out what was bothering him.
"Hinata...what's wrong?" I asked.
"K-Kageyama... th-there's something I need to tell you."
