Once again Jonas awoke from a dreamless slumber. "These sudden naps have been happening two often.", he thought. He groaned once and then got up. The uprooted grass lay beside him. He saw this and smiled. It was the next day around 11:00 AM. He looked around slowly and to his surprise saw a girl staring at him from across the street. She frowned and approached slowly but not cautiously. A few second later she was in front of him.
"Do boys normally just sleep in public areas like that or is it just you", she scornfully said.
Jonas looked at her. She had her arms crossed, a frown on her face, and her eyes so menacingly eyeing him that he felt as if she could see into his soul. He began to respond but stuttered.
"U...um.....I.I guess its j...just me miss.", He stammered, looking very embarrassed
"Humph", The girl said. Well maybe next time you should go home or at least rent a room before making me waste my entire afternoon making sure that you were alive.
Jonas, being tired and stressed as he was, did not take that well.
He yelled, "Well maybe I just feel like sleeping out here!!! Mind your own business you jerk!!!"
The girl looked at him in surprise, looked away and began to briskly walk towards the center of town. Jonas stopped yelling and watched her leave. As walking away she stuck her middle finger up before dropping a note on the side walk and turning a corner into an alley. Jonas hurried up and grabbed the note. It was small, crumpled, and looked to have been ripped out of a spiral notebook. The note read. You owe me weather you like it or not. Email at 8:00 . JaneHansengmail.com. Jonas wondered for a while if he should do it , but in the end decided that he should. His decision was partly because he figured that he did in fact owe her, The other part was because, despite the frown, she didn't look to bad. Jonas slapped himself and laughed. He wasn't ready for those thoughts...Not when he had bigger one to worry about.
He got on his phone which he had packed at exactly 8:00 and emailed her asking what she wanted. She just said that she wanted to talk. Jonas knew that was a lie. Something was going on. He asked what she really wanted and she just responded with lol. A second later a new message popped up from and anonymous email. I saw what you did. I saw the grass. Jonas nearly got off email right there to run to the next city but a new email came. This one was from a different anonymous sender. It's ok Jonas. No need to be afraid. There are others. You are ONE OF US. Jonas's began to flip. His mind was all over and deep in the back of his brain he thought. "When did i ever tell anyone my name?"
