I wasn’t talented enough,
They said before destroying my notebook.
Lyrics fell torn to the dust covered ground.
I wasn’t pretty enough
They sneered as they pinned me down.
‘UGLY’ was written on my face in eyeliner.
I wasn’t cool enough
They spat when they snapped my CD.
I only had one copy of that demo.
I wasn’t worthy enough
They shouted after breaking my relationship.
He didn’t want to ruin his future.
I wasn’t special enough
They laughed but I heard their gasps.
They found me dangling from the ceiling.
