I'll give to you, forever and always
Enjoy your birthday as though I'd never cursed you
Blow out the candles to your sadness
And look to that unreachable horrizon
I'm the clown that hides in your closet
The boogie-man thats under your bed
Your nightmare turned reality
I hate you for ignoring that though
Stride with your balloons that soon pop
Sorry the cake is salty, I couldn't hold back the tears
Forget the tubes in your skin
Pretend they are the streamers
Happy Birthday to a child that will never get better
I know you think I hate you for your faults?
I can only deny that
But my gifts will not suffice for your suffering
This time tomorrow you'll be older
But in my heart I know you'll be dead
Taken from me on your special day
My special little person
Laugh,
Jump,
Smile.
I will close your eyes, and let you
Pop.
Goodbye, my child.
