Jerami shook in his heels. He peeked behind the curtains to see Oliver and his mom smiling and listening to the announcer. He jolted back and started to breathe. Why did he sign up for this crap? Was it worth it? Yes, it was for Ollie's sake.
Miss Dolla', the club's main queen, announced him on stage. He started to lip sync to "Main Event" by RuPaul. Ollie was cheering. He was so proud of his baby for doing it perfectly.
All of a sudden, Oliver felt guilty. He looked at his mom and said, "That's not Sephora."
His mom looked at him crazy, "Baby, yes that is. She's the same as I saw her the other day."
Oliver started crying, "I know it's not because I saw you. You were in the audience and I was on stage. You were so happy. You threw money and screamed and everything."
"What are you talking about, Oliver?"
