I woke up to the sound of Scarlett's steady breathing, found myself spooning her from behind while my face was nuzzled in the back of her neck while she held my arm that was wrapped around her.

I nuzzled my nose more if possible and kissed the back of her neck multiple times.

She stirred a little so I loosened my grasp slightly and to my surprise, she was awake when she turned around to face me.

"I'm sorry, I did not mean to wake you up" I said.

She shook her head and my body tingled with butterflies when she wrapped her arms around my neck.

Our noses brushed softly as I wiped the hair out of her face and tucked them behind her ear.

"Can I ask you something?" I said.

"Since when did we bother about taking permission?" She said and I smiled.

"No but, I want to ask you about yesterday night" I said and she nodded, her fingers softly playing with the hair on the back of my head.

"Why'd you leave him like that and come to me?" I asked and her smile confused me.

"You must've done worse.... But it just didn't feel right to me, being alone with some other man who's not you. I felt unsafe and even more threatened when you started leaving. I didn't want to be there, so I listened to my heart and ran after you" She said.

My heart was busy doing backflips, summer saults, jumping and thumping.

"You don't get good vibes from him?" I asked and she shook her head.

"No Justin, I said I made a choice. I had a choice between continuing dinner with him or being with you, I picked what I wanted" She said and I nodded.

"Another question" I said and she nodded.

"Can I like.....kiss you?" I said and she chuckled.

"Someone did not ask for permission last night then why now?" She said and I didn't waste a second to smash my lips on hers.

Her hand was placed on the nape of my neck and her thumb rubbed under my jaw, right on my sweet spot and I knew she was doing that purposely to drive me crazy.

So I played my move too, I slipped my hand under her T-shirt and very lightly brushed my finger tips on her skin making her shiver and quickly pull my hand away and I chuckled making her roll her eyes and fight a smile.

"Go get showered, I'll make your breakfast by then, you have work" She said and stood up.

"Yes sir" I said before stretching and yawing.

I then got up and went inside the bathroom while she went downstairs.
