Eighteen: Birthday and good news

Today is Aryan's 4th birthday but due to the situation, we explained him that we cannot call his friends over and like the understanding little man he is, he understood.

But then, Justin came up with an idea I'd spending the day in a theme park, just the three of us. I was in denial for this too but Justin said that since Aryan is going to be in our sight the whole while and we are obviously not going to let him alone anywhere, its okay to go so I agreed.

The two of them were already dressed up and ready to go when I came downstairs.

"Let's go" I said and they got up and we left the house.

Justin buckled Aryan safely in the backseat while I sat in the shot gun and then he got in and started driving.

Aryan was very impatient throughout the ride. He almost tripped when Justin unbuckled his seat and he jumped down when we reached there.

"Bubs you are going to hurt yourself like that" I chuckled at his excited.

"Wets go in wets go in!!!" He jumped up and down making me and Justin chuckle again.

"Yep, come here" Justin picked him up in a swift moment and we walked in. The place was cute but not too crowded since it was a Tuesday today.

"I want ice cream" Aryan announced as soon as his eyes landed on the first Ice cream truck.

"Yes sir!" Justin said in a deep voice making Aryan chuckle.

We walked to the truck and the man smiled at us.

"What can I get for you'll?" He asked.

"I'll take a bubblegum" I said.

"Me too" Justin said.

"And what about you little man?" The truck guy asked Aryan.

"I'm not wittle anymore, I turned four today" Aryan said while showing him three fingers and we laughed.

"Alright, hands up, happy birthday big man" He said and Aryan grinned.

"I want chocowate" Aryan said.

A couple seconds later the truck guy handed us our cones and Justin held Aryan's hand instead of carrying him so he can eat his ice cream too.

"Mommy..." Aryan said while he walked between me and Justin.

"Yes?"

"Dad showed me the photos from when you both went to Disneywand, I want to go there too!" He said and I smiled.

"Okay, we'll plan it soon" I said and he smiled.

We sat on a bench and Aryan sat side ways on Justin's lap and we finished our ice cream while talking about when me and Justin went to Disneyland.

"I really thought she was going to puke but she thankfully didn't" Justin said and Aryan laughed.

"Really?! Did you see your face after the ride Justin? It was worse" I defended myself and Aryan just kept laughing at how his mom and dad were fighting like kids over a petty issue.

"Whatever, what ride do you wanna sit in bubs?" He asked Aryan.

"The carso- caraous-...-

"The carousel?" Justin completed him and he nodded.

"Come on then" we started walking to the carousel. We adjust Aryan properly on the horse he picked and then we stood aside.

"Goodbye Mommy and daddy!" Me and Justin laughed and waved back at Aryan as the carousel started.

"I can't believe how fast he's growing up" Justin mumbled and when I looked at him, he was still watching Aryan laugh and enjoy with a small smile on his face.

I grabbed his arm and he placed his other hand on mine.

"Olivia is nothing.... I will fight the world to protect him if I have to" He said and I smiled at him.

He was lost in talking to himself. He only snapped out when I took a step closer and leaned my head against his shoulder.

After the kiss in the cafe that day, we both knew that it didn't mean that I forgive him already and I'm going to need a lot more time to do that. But things have warmed up a little.

A second later, I felt him grip my hand a little tighter and his cheek pressed against my head.

Aryan came running to us when the ride was over and Justin picked him up and I kissed his cheek.

"Do you feel dizzy at all?" I asked and his raised his small little index ginger at me and shook his head.

"I'm a big boy now" He said and Justin laughed. I rolled my eyes while trying to fight a chuckled and pinched his nose softly.

"But for mommy and daddy you will always be a little baby bug" I said and kissed his cheek.

After that Aryan sat into many rides but we avoided the rollercoaster.

"I'm hungry" I declared.

"Me too!" Aryan said.

"Let's go there" Justin pointed at a casual dining restaurant and we went inside.

We sat down at a table and ordered pizza as usual.

Justin's phone started ringing.

"Its Cam" He said and handed it to Aryan knowing that he was calling for him.

"Hi uncwe Cam" Aryan said and I could legit hear Cam singing the happy birthday song till where I sat across Aryan.

Aryan giggled and thanked him.

"You should've came with us today and brought aunt Em too, we had so much fun! I sat on so many rides" Aryan said.

A while later, they hung up and we started eating.

"Oh god...who again..." Justin grumbled when his phone rang again.

"Oh, Mr. Foster" justin said and my heart rate sped up.

"Hello" he answered the call.

"Wh- that's great.....yeah of course we still have the security we will keep it till Olivia proves to be the criminal or if its someone else then until they get arrested" He said and hung up.

"What?" I asked and he sighed.

"They've found Olivia, that are investigating her now...." Justin and I let out a sigh of relief.

"Oh thank god" I said and sipped my juice.

Finally something good to hear.
