You sat up, setting down the volume.
"What is it??" You asked, standing up. The Winchesters stood up from their latest research and walked over. Castiel held up a picture of the Tree of Pain.
"The Tree Of Pain." Cas said, "The demon had it carved on his back. He must've said an enchantment before attacking you and the spell worked. It's a spell that was used on Excalibur- the spell makes it so if the weapon wounds you the wound with never heal. There's no known cure." You sighed, frustrated.
"So I'm going to have to live with this bloody wound for the rest of my life? That's a long time!" You exclaimed.

It hit the Winchesters that you would live for eternity if no one killed you. It would suck to have an open wound for that entire time.
"No," you said, "magic is neither created nor destroyed, it is controlled. We can find a way to control it. It won't be easy though." Castiel nodded in agreement.
"We can do it. We've gotten away with crazier things." Dean said.
"Gotten away with are strong words." Sam said.
"Whatever, the point is we can do it. Don't worry." Dean said, patting your shoulder.

You lay on the beanbag Dean found in the storage area, reading Celtic lore and magic books. So far you guys had gotten nowhere. It had been three days of nonstop research. Dean was dying- he couldn't take this silence any longer. He stood up, slamming his book closed, startling you and Sam.
"We need a break." He declared. Sam couldn't help but agree. You could research forever though, you didn't need a break, therefore you were reluctant. Your wings flapped in protest as the Winchesters dragged you to the garage and into the Impala, hitting Dean in the face multiple times.

You pulled up to the local carnival and Sam sighed.
"Really?"
"Really. We haven't been in so long. Let's go!" Dean said and got out of the car. Sam got out too and helped you up.  You hadn't bothered to put away your wings and people stared at you the entire day. You followed the Winchesters like a lost puppy as they went around to the booths, winning large prizes and eating overpriced corndogs. Sam was carrying a very large teddy bear and several smaller bears. Dean held the numerous lollipops they had won and other types of candies filled his pockets.

To end the day, they went to the circus tent to watch the acts. They found three seats next to each other at the top and situated themselves. Soon it started. The ringmaster stepped into the middle of the circular stage.
"Welcome, welcome, ladies and gentleman! Be prepared to witness amazing, magical feats beyond your imagination!" The man puffed out his chest proudly. "Be sure to tell your friends about what you saw here at Olly's Mystical Circus!" He grinned and walked off stage.

Loud, goofy music started booming through speakers as a small car drove onstage. The side door opened and clowns started tumbling out. Sam stiffened slightly. Clown after clown after clown got out, it seemed to last forever. It didn't stop until there were 50 clowns on the stage. That was not normal. Normally there were about 10. The clowns started climbing on top of each other, making shapes and reenacting famous national monuments. Mt. Rushmore, Pyramids, Lady Liberty, Big Ben, The Eiffel Tower, Tokyo Tower, even The Great Wall of China. After that the clowns piled back in the car and it drove off stage. Sam looked like he was gonna pass out.

Then, acrobats started swinging over the stage. It was normal and impressive at first, then they started letting go of the swing. They started floating. The three boys exchanged looks, confirming something fishy was going on here. After the acrobats finished, elephants lumbered on stage. Then they started tap dancing. TAP DANCING?! The boys stood up and left the tent, not trusting the event anymore.

"There is something going on here." Dean said.
"This is either a trickster or fairy magic." You said.
"If it's magic, there might be a clue to cure you." Sam said. You nodded. Sam and Dean brought the stuffed animals and treats back to the Impala then they started to investigate. You all split up and went to the back of the tent, looking around. Dean poked into the ringmaster's tent, Sam into the acrobat's and you into the clown's.

Sam went inside the acrobat's quarters. He looked everywhere and found a symbol carved into each of their bedside tables. He retreated to tell the others.

You stepped into the clown's quarters and were surprised. There was only one bed. You found a symbol carved into the bedside table 49 times. It was covered. You retreated to tell the others.

Dean started looking around, under the desk, in the drawers, under the cot. Nothing. Until he lifted up the lamp and saw something carved into the table. Then someone stepped into the tent.
