I'm Sorry

A swift kick to his side quickly awoke Sky from his sleep. He coughed as his eyes snapped open and he wiped away the dried tears on his face. He looked up, only to see two boys towering over him. The first boy, a black haired boy,  grinned down at him, an evil look in his eye.

"Heya, kid! How's it going in loser land?!" The young boy then laughed as Sky glared up at him. The second boy, a blonde haired boy, snickered at his friends horrible sense of humor.

"Haha! Good one, Butch!" Butch did nothing but shrug and grin more.

"Duh! I'm the king of jokes, Landal! Who do you think I a-" Butch paused as he noticed the Seto doll clutched tightly in Sky's hands. He grinned as he leaned down and snatched it from Sky's tiny infant hands. Sky quickly sat up as he tried to protest. Sadly, due to him being nothing but a baby, all he could muster was babble.

"Nuuuu!" He cried out as he tried to grab the doll from Butch. Butch laughed as he held the doll in the air, out of Sky's reach. Sky began to sniffle as tears began to well in his eyes as Butch's free arm held him back. Butch snickered at this.

"Awwww! Is the little baby gonna cry?! Ha! Your such a wi-"

"Uhhhh Butch...."

"What is it Lan-hey!"

Sky's eyes widened as a familiar paw reached down and snatched the doll from Butch's grasp. Butch growled as he turned around to protest.

"Hey! Give that back..." Butch's voice trailed off as he turned and was met face to face with a snarling bacca. Sky smiled and giggled only to wheeze as pain shot through the side where he had been kicked. Jerome snorted a puff of air in Butch's face as he pulled away and tightened the grip on the back of Landal's collar as the young boy thrashed in the air.

"Put me down you oversized dog!" Jerome snorted and rolled his eyes as he tossed Landal towards Butch, causing both boys to fall to the ground. They both scrambled to their feet as they looked up at Jerome. Jerome growled as his gentle puppy dog brown eyes flashed red.

"Scram" he simply stated as he threw back his head and let out a dog like bark. The two boys both screamed as they dashed away from the angry bacca.

Jerome snarled as he watched them leave before turning towards Sky and kneeling down to pick him up.

"Hey, Sky. Hope they didn't give you too much trouble." As Jerome's paws wrapped around Sky's waist to lift him up, the infant gave out a cry of pain. Jerome's eyes widened as he tilted his head to the side when he noticed Sky grab his side in pain.

He gently grabbed the hem of Sky's shirt and lifted it up, only for the bacca's eyes to widened as his eyes focused on the bruise that was starting to form on Sky's side. He looked in the direction where the two children had fled, growling.

"Dumb kids these days....no respect. C'mom Sky, lets get ya to Seto so he can patch ya up..." Jerome gently lifted Sky up, trying to block out the squeaks of pain that came from the infant youtuber.

Seto gently pushed open the door with his free hand, while the other kept Sky slung over his shoulder. Nighttime moonlight pooled into the house. The rest of the teams members all walked in, quickly bided each other good night, and retreated to their bedrooms. Seto, however, stayed downstairs with Sky. He and the others had been worried about the baby youtuber ever since they came from the daycare.

Seto sat down in a nearby armchair, keeping his hold on Sky. He gave a small smile, trying to lighten the mood.

"Sky...you know...you've gotta talk to me to tell me which onesie you wanna wear tonight." He only frowned when he was given no response. He sighed as he removed Sky from his shoulder, setting him down on his lap.

"Alright, Sky. Talk to me...what's wrong?" He frowned when Sky refused to look at him. He sighed and gently turned Sky's head to look at him.

"Sky...look at me.."

Sky frowned as he glared up at the sorcerer. Seto took in a deep breath before exhaling.

"I'm sorry..."

Sky's eyes widened as he nodded, giving Seto the 'ok' to keep going.

"I'm sorry, Sky. I never should have left you in that daycare....but I did. And look what happened to you....I wasn't thinking about the way you felt. I just cared about going to that dumb meeting. I should've thought about your feelings, and not just mine. That kick could have seriously injured you...and I wouldn't have been there to help you before it was too late. Sky, I hope you forgive me...I'm sorry..." Seto's voice trailed off as he looked up only to see Sky blinking, trying to fight back the tears threatening to spill.

Sky sniffled before he wailed, letting the tears flow as he lunged at Seto, throwing his arms around the sorcerers neck as he sobbed into his shoulder.

"SETO!"

Seto's eyes widened at that, his heart melting. Sky's first clear, no baby lisp interfering word, had been his name. Seto chocked up and let his own tears flow as he hugged Sky close as moonlight shone down on them both.

Hey guys! Pupper9949 here! Merry late Christmas! I decided to make this chapter since its been a while since I updated! So this will be my little wattpad Christmas gift to all of you guys!
