It's our first day of highschool and I am really happy for a lot of reasons. One of the reasons is because I have a lot of my classes with my best friends, in the world. I was also happy because I realized back in 8th grade, that I had a crush on my best friend, Farkle Minkus. Anyway, I was in my third period class when I heard my name on the intercom, asking me to go to the principal's office. I'm scared I have never been asked to go to the principal's office in my life.
I hope that I did nothing wrong. And when I walk into the office, I found Maya, Lucas, Zay, and Smackle in the office. Did something happen? Why were we all called to office? Then the for opened to reveal someone I really wanted to see, Farkle.

I walked into the office to find Riley, Maya, Lucas, Zay and Smackle in the office. I was confused. I took a seat next to Riley and I grabbed her hand. She squeezed my hand scared of what was going on, so I squeezed back, letting her know that I was also scared. "Hello and don't worry, you guys are not in trouble" said the principal with a cheerful smile on his face and we relaxed once we were told that.
"There's an orphanage that is getting up to at least 6 orphans a day. And they don't have enough space to live at the orphanage." he said. Everyone, including myself, was confused. What was he trying to tell us? Then Mr. Matthews walked into the office. Riley, not sure her father was there and smiling, and asked "Dad, what are you doing here"?

"You guys have been chosen to do a project called the family project that is going to go on for the next for years. You guys will be put in pairs and be a 'married' couple. You will adopt up to 3 kids. We will provide everything else for you." my father said with a smile on his face. I can already tell that this is going to be a long project. But I do have one question though. Who is partnered up with who?! It was like my dad had read my mind.
He handed me a piece of paper. "This piece of paper has who will be partnered up with who for this project." Dad said with a smirk on his face, looking at me. I read the paper 3 times, my partner was Farkle?! This is going to be an interesting project.
