Chapter 10

"Where is she?!" Kyung Soo asked, almost shouting.

"Our classroom..." Sehun said as he panted, and with that, all of them ran.

"Fuck... shit... what do I do now?!" Yoora walked from side to side, trying to find a solution. Just then she heard running and voices and she knew right away, it was Exo. She immediately crouched down to Jessi's unconscious body and pretended to worry.

"Jessi! Are you alright?!" Yoora yelled as she shook her body.

"Park Yoora! What the hell are you doing?!" Kyung Soo's voice echoed the whole hallway.

"Huh what? Jessi was already unconscious when I got here! And just in time, bring her to the hospital now!" Yoora pretended and rushed D.O.

"What...?" Sehun muttered to himself and tried to figure out what actually happened.

Kyung Soo carried Jessi bridal style and they all ran to the nearest hospital. Seoul General Hospital.

Jessi felt a sharp pain in her head as she tried to get up. What the hell... why am I at the hospital? She held her head as she sat up. The last thing she remembered was pushing the classroom door when something heavy fell on her head, and the next thing she knew, she blacked out.

She looked at her right hand, which was still scalded. A bad day, a very bad day indeed.

"Jessi. You're awake." Kyung Soo smiled as he entered the ward. "D.O.? What are you doing here?" she asked.

"You fainted because a heavy object hit your head. I think." he squinted his big~ eyes before giving her an assuring smile again.

"Are you hungry? Cause I bought some bulgogi for you." he said as he placed a packet on her desk. "Jjinja?! Gomawo!" she smiled brightly as she took out the packet from the plastic bag. "Jessi. What happened to your hand?" he pointed.

"Didn't I mention it in class?" she mumbled as she stuffed the food in her mouth.

"The truth Jessi."

She swallowed her food and sighed. "It is the truth. Anyways, Yoora must be waiting for you in the library for the project. Thanks for the food peabrain, but you have a project to do! Gogogo." Jessi rushed him and he frowned.

"Shorty... I know that's not the truth. You're avoiding it." Kyung Soo sighed as he left the ward.

D.O. returned to the library and true enough, Yoora was there,nresearching for the project. "Oh? D.O.,you're here?" Yoora crooked her head to meet his eyes. Kyung Soo sat beside her and sighed.

"Yoora, are you sure you're not part of this?" he asked.

"Part of what? The accident? Of course not. Why on earth would I do such a thing?" she laughed. "Well, at least that bitch won't be coming to school for a while now." She mumbled to herself

"Jessi!" Ilhoon yelled as soon as he got in the ward. "Hey Ilhoon!" she smiled brightly, continuing to eat her bulgogi. "God, Jessi... are you okay?" he asked worriedly as he sat down next to the bed. "I'm fine. I'll probably be discharged in a few days time." she shrugged. But there was a bandage wrapped around her head.

"Who gave you the bulgogi?" he asked.

"D.O. He brought me to the hospital as well."

Ilhoon sighed in relieve.

But her mother didn't visit her that day.

The next day, Kyung Soo felt emptiness. He didn't know why, but he felt that Jessi was a part of him. After all those years of hatred, it seems that she became a part of his soul. He sighed as he looked at Yoora. Was she really not part of the accident?

Half of him wants to believe her,but the other half doesn't.

"D.O. ssi." Yoora said tugged his shoulder gently.

"Oh sorry. Was distracted." he said, snapping back to reality. He flipped a few pages of his work and saw that today's schedule was done. He was so in need to see Jessi, to overcome this feeling of longing. Jessi was a meaningful friend.

Maybe even more meaningful than Exo, due to the years of hatred.

"I guess we're done for today. See you, Yoora." he said before running out of the library.

As he opened the door, he saw Jessi on her computer. "Ya peabrain... would you mind buying some flowers for your grandma? I can't get out of this stupid hellhole." she grimaced. "There's no need to give her flowers when you can just talk to her." he smiled.

"She's still here?"

Kyung Soo nodded.

"I'll visit her later. By the way, is Seung Soo going to come? I'm halfway through the project. I did it on my laptop since I can't write." she smiled.

D.O. frowned, seeing that all she cares about was school work and not her own health. "Jessi, take a rest from school work. You're still injured." He pointed.

"And leave your poor dongsaeng to do all the project work? Hell no." she continued. Kyung Soo went over to her laptop and closed it.

"YA-.."

"I bought you bulgogi. Again." he said as he placed a packet on her desk. "Just in time! I'm starving." she said, totally forgetting about the project. Cute, Kyung Soo laughed.

"By the way, don't you have a project to-..."

"Don't even think about it Hwang Jin Ae, don't chase me out. I already done my part of the project before visiting you." D.O. argued.

Her face fell.

She doesn't want to get bothered by Yoora again. And she clearly know that the reason she's in the hospital, was also because of Park Yoora. Her hand got scalded, by Park Yoora also.

And it's all because she wants her to stay away from D.O.

"D.O." Jessi began.

"Lets remain as nemesis."

"Park Yoora." Krystal's voice echoed.

"Yes?"

"Did you do that to Jessi?"

"Do what?"

"Injure her head."

"I did not."

"Are you sure?" Krystal smirked.

"Yes."

"Cause if I ever find out you're the one behind all this shit, i'll make sure you'll get expelled dearie." Krystal tapped her face softly before walking away.

"NO." D.O. said firmly.

"Why? The reason why you suddenly became nice to me was because my father died right? It can't be because of your own will. I don't need your sympathy." Jessi said.

She was right. Kyung Soo became nice to her because her father died. But he only thought he could be nice to her for a day,but he didn't. Ever since the day he hugged her, he always wanted to make her smile, protect her.

And that was his own will.

Not sympathy.

And with that, he hugged her.

"No Jessi. We're not going to remain as nemesis. I'm your friend. And i'll always be. I'll protect you and never make you cry again." D.O. mumbled in Jessi's ears.

Okai peeps. Decided to write the whole chapter in Narrator's point of view. BY THE WAY. If you guys are asking, NO SUNGGYU ISN'T IN LOVE with Jessi. And neither does she.
