ALLISON

My eyes float across the page of a novel that I've read almost a thousand times. I sigh as I turn the page, I have to try to keep myself distracted. At least for the next few hours, then I'll be back in hell. I knew that this wouldn't last long. I still hoped it would, but I knew it was a long shot. I only have until 4:30, right now it's 11:47. I turn the page again and sigh. I squeeze my eyes shut tight for a brief moment. I open my eyes and throw the book across the room. Esme catches it just before it hits her. She closes the book and gently sets it down on the table.

"You know you should tell them, Allison." She says in a motherly tone.

"It's too late for that now. They'll just think it's because I want to stay here." I shake my head and then pinch the bridge of my nose.

"You should've told them when they asked about the spiral fracture in your wrist." She sits beside me a gently rubs my back. "Even though you could still tell them now, they'd ask for proof and you have plenty of proof."

"They can't tell how old those scars are." I sigh.

"Newer scars have a kind of purple tone around the edges, even if they were older scars you can still get out of it. Tell them you don't feel safe with your father." She states.

"They'll probably just think I'm asking for attention, and trust me that's the last thing I want." I purse my lips.

"Would you rather have attention or continue to suffer?" She retorts.

"That kind of attention would add to the suffrage." I deadpan. "I normally end up here most nights anyways."

"After these past few weeks, I don't he's going to be remorseful enough to leave you alone long enough for that to happen." She states.

I slowly open the door and quietly close it behind me. I dart to my room and put my bags in the closet. I hear footsteps and I spin around before jumping.

"Dammit, I thought you were him Emmett." I whisper yell. "You shouldn't be here, he'll be here really soon."

"I have superspeed, I can stay until last second." He retorts. I roll my eyes. "If you keep doing that, your eyes are going to get stuck in your head princess."

"Oh well." I shrug. He wraps his arms around me and rubs my back. I squeeze my eyes shut and wrap my arms around him. He kisses my head slightly and I hold myself together. "I'll leave my window open." I whisper.

"I love you, Allison." He says.

"I love you, Emmett."

"Be smart about this. You know you can leave." He rubs my back gently.

"It's not that easy, he'd hunt me down." I shake my head.

"Are you forgetting who I am? I could snap a truck in half like it was a twig." He states. I slightly smile and lean up on my toes. We kiss and slowly pull back, then kiss a few more times.

"I know." I whisper.

"I'll be back later, okay?" He rubs my back again.

"Okay." We kiss again before he disappears. I pull my curtains closed and make sure the window is open. I walk downstairs slowly and into the kitchen. I find a note on the island.

Dinner better be ready when I get off of work and it had better be good sweetheart.

My heart pounds against my chest and I throw the note away and start making dinner. I repull my hair up into a ponytail and make sure that the water is boiling. I pour the noodles in and stir it quickly. Once they are soft and I drain the water from them. I continue to work on dinner until it is finished. I plate it and pull garlic bread out if the oven when I hear him pull in. I put a piece of garlic bread on his plate and set it at the table with silverware and a cup of coffee. I walk back to the kitchen and take a deep breath.

"Well look at you, sweetheart, on time and you even remembered the coffee." He smirks wickedly before sitting down and eating. "I may just go easy on you." My heart stops and I grab a piece of bread. I slowly eat it and force myself to stay calm.

You know you should tell them, Allison.

I shake my head slightly and take another deep breath.

"Well done, you actually can cook. Now, I want this kitchen spotless." He states slamming the empty glass plate on the ground. He finishes his coffee and throws the cup down. "Absolutely spotless." He throws the coffee pot down and it shatters, coffee going everywhere.

You should tell them, Allison.

He grabs a vase and throws it.

Tell them, Allison.

"You know I could've told them, and then you'd be ruined." I state.

"Then why didn't you? Is it because you're too much of a little bitch? Is that why? No, it's because you're too much like your whore of a mother!" He throws a knife and it barely misses my head. I stare at him wide eyed, not able to move. "Say something you little whore!" He throws a bowl at me and I duck. I hold my hands up to block my face as he walks toward me. "I SAID SAY SOMETHING!!!"
