Midnight in hell.

Chapter 2

I pushed him away from me and he just smiled. What'd did he mean! I was no princess of darkness. My mother would have told me. " Don't believe me hmm " Loki said a smirk playing on his lips. " Lies " I hissed. I felt strange something wasn't right. I looked down at my hands and there were purple marks appearing on my arms and hand. I jumped in shock. " What's wrong with me!! "

I yelled. " This is all you dear " I didn't know what to do! " Loki help me! " He just stood there smirking. " Please Loki! " Loki then walked over to me taking my hands into his. I felt a cold shiver go threw me. He was colder then I as. " Clam your thoughts " he whispered. I closed my eyes taking deep breaths. After a while I opened my eyes and the markings were gone. My hands were still in Loki's and I quickly pulled them away. " T-thank you " I whispered. He smiled and walked over to me. " You are now in my debt" I slowly nodded. " You will do what ever I say no hesitation. Or else " I nodded again. He walked away from me and pulled out the leather book again. Reading its contents like noting happened. I sat down in a chair closing my eyes just for a minute.

I opened my eyes. Loki was gone and I was alone in the room. The bright light of the sun was replaced with the shining glow of the moon. I looked down and saw I was coved with a green cape. It was Loki's cape. Did he put this on me? I stood up pulling the cape over my shoulders to keep me warm. I walked over to a dresser and found some night gowns. I slipped one on and made my way over to the bed. The covers were made out a silk. They were a beautiful green. I chucked to myself. Loki must love green. I pulled back the silk cover and crawled in. The warmth of the covers soon drawing me into a deep sleep.

- Beginning of Dream -

My mother and I walked around the village, stopping by at different shops on the way. My mother stopped by a jeweler and looked at all the beautiful jewelry. She was looking at on neckless , its was beautiful. It has two snakes there tails intertwined. There eyes we and emerald green. " How much ? " My mother asked. The man smiled at her. " Its a gift my lady  " he said. " I couldn't "  The man grabbed the neckless and put it in my mothers hand.  " A gift " My mother smiled and walked over to me. She put the neckless around my neck. " Mother it beautiful " I grabbed her hand as we walked back home.

- End Of dream -

I was woken by a loud creek. I opened my eyes and scanned the room. Ebony walked into my room. She didn't smile at me or even look at me. " My lady " she mumbled.  " Ebony I thought I told you to call me Nera" I got up from my bed and walked over to her. " Are you alright " She didn't reply. I looked at Ebony and I noticed a bruise on her arm. " Ebony! Who did this to you! "  She walked past me picking out a dress that she had brought with her. " Was it Loki? " She froze in her spot and slowly nodded. " Its fine though my lady " It was far from fine! I turned around walking out of the door with Ebony calling me back. I walked up to a guard. " Show me where Loki is " I said angry. The guard nodded and quickly walked down the hall way with me.

The guard stopped at another to massive door and walked away. I took a deep breath and pushed them open. I stormed into the room to see Loki sitting down at a table working on something. " Nera " I walked up to him fist clenched.  " Don't you ever touch Ebony again! " I growled at him. Loki smiled. I was token back by him laughing. " Do you really think you can tell me what to do " I raised my hand and it made contact with Loki's face. Oh god did I just slap him! I went to take a step back but Loki grabbed my arm holding me in place. Loki's jaw clenched as he looked me in the eyes. " I will be lenient this once but if you ever do that again you will be punished "  I slowly nodded. " Go back to your room now! " Loki let go of me and I almost ran for the door. When I opened the doors Ebony was standing there.

I ran over to her and hugged her. I was so scared. " My lady what happend! " I didn't respond. " Did he hurt you? " I shook my head and Ebony took a deep breath. " Come why don't we go back to your room " Ebony and I walked down the hall way in silence. I looked down at the ground while Ebony picked out a dress. I sat on the bed and looked at my hands. Why did I do that. He didn't do anything but I knew to fear him. Ebony put down a nice green dress and looked at me. '' Loki said he will be showing you around the castle today '' I nodded. Wonderful , I wanted to stay away from him. '' I will let you get changed into that my lady '' Ebony walked out of the room.  I sat there for a few minutes before putting the dress on. I put my hair in a braid as Loki walked into the room. He looked at me and smirked. '' You looked beautiful just like your mother '' I turned around and looked at him eyes wide. '' Don't you dare say anything about my mother you don't know anything about her! '' He smirked and walked over to me. '' I know everything about your mother dear ''  I looked away from him knowing my temper would soon take over me.  A tear ran down my cheek. I didn't know if my mother was alive or dead. It killed me everyday not knowing. '' Follow me '' Loki walked over to the door and I slowly followed. We walked into a garden, beautiful roses of all colors. I was blown away it was so beautiful.

Sitting down not far off from Loki and I was a woman. Her back was turned to us. She had long blond hair and she was wearing a  white dress the fit her perfectly.  I looked at Loki and he was smiling at me.. She turned around and I felt the air leave my lungs. I stood there in shook. Standing there was my mother. I felt tears running down my cheeks as she walked over to me and pulled me into a hug. '' I'm here Nera I'm here ''  I hugged her back as tight as I could , crying even harder. Oh how I missed her. She pulled away from the hug and whipped the tears away. '' H..how are you here I thought you were dead '' She smiled at me. '' I would have been but Loki saved me and you. He put you In the room for your own safety. You have amazing gifts and we didn't want you getting hurt '' she said. Why would Loki help us. He doesn't care about anyone but himself. My mother sighed. '' Nera.....I know you don't understand but you soon will alright." Loki stood there in silence.  " Now I dont have long dear. Your going to stay here. This is your home now. "
