Shayne and I quickly became best friends after that day. We had 2 general classes together, English and Math. The professors let everyone seat were they would like so Shayne and I sat by each other. We even study together. But when we aren't studying or doing homework, we play my PS4 or pull pranks on the other students in our dorm. Shayne has a great sense of humor and he always makes me feel better when I'm feeling down. We were in Math class when a guy walked up to me while working on the homework assignment.
"Hey there. I'm Kyle." He said.
"Hi Kyle. Can I help you with anything?" I asked. Kyle was a cute guy with short black hair and was muscular like Shayne but not as much.
"Yea I was wondering if you'd like to go out tonight?" Kyle asked.
"Sure. Where do you want to go?" I asked.
"How about Bestia at 5:30. It's a great Italian restaurant." He said.
"Great. I'll see you then." I said, smiling.
Kyle then left to his friends. I look over to Shayne who is currently in deep thought. I tap on his shoulder to get his attention.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"I'm going to have to cut our study session short today if that's ok with you." I said.
"That's fine. So your date is at Bestia." He said.
"Yea. I have never been there and that Kyle guy looks like he could be a good guy." I said.
"I don't know. He's been known to cheat on girls." Shayne said.
"It'll be fine. Plus it's only a date." I said.
"Ok. I just don't want you to get hurt." He said.
"I'll be fine. And I appreciate your concern. Plus I don't tolerate cheating. He gets one chance." I said, reassuring him.
Shayne smiled as class ended. Since it was our last class for the day, Shayne and I headed to my room to start studying for a test coming up in English. When it turned 4:30 pm, I started getting ready for my date. Shayne stayed because I needed his opinion on which dress to wear. I trying not 3 dresses before we found the right one.
