This story is about a guy who has secret feelings to her best friend but his best friend has relationship to their classmate named Kyle. This story happened before they graduate in high school and it’s their intramurals.
It’s Monday and everybody so excited for the games that they are selected to play. A guy named Michael was entering the gate of their school when he saw her best friend Cathy in the waiting shed.
"Hey Cathy! What are you doing here in the waiting shed alone?" Michael asked Cathy
"Me?" Cathy replied
" yes! Oh come on Cathy your alone her"
" I’m waiting for Kyle"
(Suddenly Kyle came)
"Ok bye, Kyle is here I have to go"
Michael knows that Cathy and Kyle have relationship, and he always feel that his best friend don’t have care anymore to him, and he’s disappointed.
Tuesday, and this is the schedule game for Cathy to play volleyball…
"hey babe! Good luck to your game I’m here watching and to support you" Kyle greeted to Cathy
"thank you babe!" Cathy replied to Kyle
(Michael is also watching)
After the game, Michael saw Kyle and Cathy talking to each other and Kyle make something that Michael just walk away and went to the canteen.
In the canteen...
(Michael is alone sitting in the canteen while his classmate Jane saw and sat beside him)
"Michael? Is that you?" Jane said to Michael
"yes" Michael replied
" What are you doing here? Do you have problem?"
"nah.. I don’t have problem"
"no! I know you’re not okay… Cause the way you speak you like you had all the problems in the whole world haha!"
"so? Is that funny? Yes I have problem...It’s about me and Cathy"
"hmmm is that Cathy Ferrer?! The girlfriend of Kyle Agliones? And what’s with her?" Jane replied
" She’s my Best friend and she left me in one side of this world and it’s like she don’t have care with our relationship."
"Really? Or more than best friend you treat her… haha"
"What do you mean jane?"
"I mean you have a special feelings to her not only because his your best friend it is because you love her… and you just can’t tell what you really feel because your best friend already have a boyfriend and you don’t want to ruined their relationship…am I right?"
" You're right, but what I’m going to do? I know this is not right"
" I’m not sure if I can help you…but I think you must take a time to talk to her and tell what really you want to say about your feelings and I know she will understand it… and I know she will talk to you about the relationship you have with her"
" I will try" Michael replied
"I have to go because I have game today"
"Thank you very much Jane for your advice"
Michael thinks about what Jane told him and he is scared to do it, until he finally realize that he must tell about his feelings to Cathy before it's too late.
Friday, this is the last day of their intramural’s...
(Cathy is sitting under the tree at the front yard of their classroom and Michael went to her)
" Can we talk?" Michael asked Cathy
"Of course yes, so what are we going to talk about?" Cathy replied
"About us"
" What about us Michael?"
"Why you’re not talking to me in past few weeks? Is this about you and Kyle? That you are now together and you don’t have time for us… is that the meaning of best friend to you?"
" No! I’m not like that. It is because"
" Because of what?! It is because you hate me?! You know what, not only best friend I treated you…I treated you more than of it"
"What do you mean?!"
" You don’t get what I really meant?! I love you Cathy! I know this is not right… and I know even if I tell you what I really feel… you don’t have care"
(Michael walking away while crying, then suddenly Cathy shouts)
"Michael! Wait! Don’t walk away without knowing my reason"
" And what reason?!"
"Because you’re my best friend… and if I continue that relationship I’m going to love you"
"What’s wrong with that?"
"Can you love a girl if you know that she will just fade away?"
" I don’t understand, what are you talking about?"
" Michael, My Dad told me that I’m going to school in Canada and this is my last Intramurals here in the Philippines in fact we are a graduating students in high school and I don’t know if I will go back here."
" No matter what happen Cathy, I will always love you and I don’t want to take a moment in my life without you…. That’s why I want you to know that I’m going to U.S because my uncle wants me to study their in my college life"
" We must promise together that years from now, if we are meant for each other we will make a way to fight for our love" Cathy said to Michael
"What about you and Kyle?"
"Me and Kyle? Hahaha we are just friend, we just pretend that we have relationship"
(Michael kissed Cathy in the lips and they smile to each other)
Michael and Cathy continued their relationship; they made their time a memorable one before they separate that day and they enjoy that moment with each other.
