Finally let go

Chapter 4

~Cody's P.O.V~

I can't believe she forgave me so fast. I thought she would never believe me. Maybe she was just so desperate for someone to love her that she accepted it. Oh well hopefully she will feel the same about me. I was so lost in thought I didn't feel her move and start to shake. I look at her to make sure she's okay and I see tears rolling down her cheeks but her eyes are still closed. I shake her awake frantically. 

~Jesy's P.O.V~

-In her dream-

I look around and pick myself up off the ground. I dust off my jeans and my butt, I look up at the sky and see that its almost sundown.  

"Hello? Is anyone here?" I ask aloud. I hear the rustling of bushes behind me. I spin around fast and see my father standing there. He is holding someone's hand and when I look down I see myself when I was a little girl, before my dad passed away and my life went to shit. I slowly walk up to them but it's like they are staring through me. My dad smiles and laughs. It's been so long since I have heard him laugh. He starts walking toward me and i reach out to give him a hug. He passes right through me..... 

"What the fuck" I say to myself. I turn around and watch the scene unfold. I remember this. I was only 7.... It was when I last saw my dad and brother. I watch my brother play in the sandbox and i'm still next to my father, I am bouncing a ball and i let go of his hand and start to walk away from him. I watch my younger self loose control of the ball, It's like watching it in slow motion. My younger self running after the ball not looking down the road, my dad turning around and running after me yelling my name. Suddenly everything freezes, the truck stops my dad stops and so do i. I slowly walk up unsure what's happening. I walk to my dad and stand in front of him. I can see the pain in his eyes at the thought of loosing me... He shouldn't have chased after me. He would still be alive and my brother would still see clearly. I look down and then everything unfreezes. My dad runs into my street pushing me out of the way. Then.........

Wham! I look away and shut my eyes tightly. I feel warm tear running down my cheeks. I'm about to run over to my dad to see him once more. I see everything fading away and once I open my eyes I see Cody instead of the park. 

"Are you okay?" he asks softly. I know he means well but i'm not ready to tell him yet. 

"Nothing i'm fine, just a dream" I say calmly trying to get him to relax a little.

"if you say so gorgeous" He sits back down next to me. I blush and wipe the tears off my face. I check the time and freak out. 

"Oh my god I have to go!" I yell and I jump off the couch scared to death. Oh my god she is gonna kill me. 

"You are not going anywhere" He grabs my wrist and pulls me into his lap. I start to thrash around but he keeps a tight grip of my arms so I don't punch him. He starts to shush me trying to get me to calm down.
