I pulled my hoodie over my head, feeling concealed from the harsh realities of the world. Music blasted through my ears. My long, dark purple hair hung in my eyes. My eyes gazed at the floor as I watched my large boots crush the little ants that walked below me. I was beaten down everyday, so why can't I do it back? That's how the world works. You hurt the things that can't defend themselves. Well, that's how they treat me.
Stumbling through the door to maths class. The beady eyes of Mrs Scorch, they peaked over her round glasses, that sat delicately on her nose. When her eyes stared into mine, it felt like 1000 tiny daggers stabbing into my brain as I knew a detention would soon be declared.
'Your late again, Robinson' her croaky, old voice as rough as gravel echoed to the door.
She always called me by my last name. I hated it.
'My name's Ashley, not Robinson' my shy, low voice replied.
'Well, Ashley, il look forward to seeing you in detention after school.'
An evil grin spread across her face, like butter on burnt toast. Slowly melting away back into the miserable smile of the old lady she was.
I rolled my eyes and made my way to my desk, at the back of the class. The whispering of the students around me.
'You're all gonna regret this someday....' I mumble to myself, like I do every time this happens.
Flopping into my chair, I screeched and leapt back onto my two feet.
A pin was in my seat.
'You wanted piercings didn't you looser?' A familiar voice of Jessica spoke up.
Ah, Jessica. More of a demon than the devil himself. Her bleached blonde hair laid across her back.
I felt the anger grow inside me. Then let it fade. Not yet. Revenge will take its course in time.
'Stop doing that Jessica, it's not funny'
'Oh really' her voice full of sarcasm as she stood up and came face to face with me. 'And what ya gonna do?'
'When the time comes....il get my revenge....'
The class roared with laughter. I ran out with my once pale face, transformed red like blood.
I bumped into a tall figure.
'Sorry' I mumbled, avoiding eye contact.
'Hey it's okay'
There stood a beautiful alternative-looking boy. His hair touching his shoulders, covering his face, dyed black. His hazel eyes peered through his hair. He had a thin pale face and thin pink lips.
'Oh um okay' I finally replied.
'I'm Oliver, what about you?'
'Oh um I'm Ashley'
'Did those people upset you in there?'
'Um yeah....but il get my revenge'
An evil smirk, grew on his face.
'I feel the same way....'
'Yeah, well I better get home.'
'Home?' He laughed. 'We got 5 hours left of school'
'World domination takes time to plan' I winked.
'Haha okay....well il see you later....'
He slipped his hand in my pocket and walked away. I strolled out of school without anyone catching me. I felt inside my pocket, it was a note:
'908 77564312 call me ;)'
I smiled to myself. Smooth.I sat alone in my room, gazing at the posters of bands on my walls, music in the background. I looked down at the note with that Oliver guys number.
I typed his number into my phone and texted it:
'Hi it's Ashley'
He responded very quickly, almost as if he'd been waiting....kinda cute but kinda creepy.
'Heyyyy xxxx'
The kisses freaked me out, he seemed nice but still.
'So wanna meet up? xxxx'
The next message raced through. I literally meet this guy today and already he wants meet up. I decided to ignore the message and reply with a lie:
'I gtg bed, ttyl bye'
He read the message but didn't respond. Good.I arrived at school and Oliver was there and ran up to me.
'Hey beautiful' he said looking down at me.
I felt my face turn red and everyone was staring.
'Umm hi' I replied.
Everyone began to laugh....including Oliver.
Embarrassment turned to anger.
'What's so funny?!' my voice had risen slightly.
'Oh dear....' His voice sunk into a strange, nasty tone.
'What?!'
'I said hi beautiful'
'I know'
'So why did you reply?'
'What do you mean?'
'If I say hi beautiful, it means who ever I'm saying hi to is beautiful'
'I know'
'So why did you reply?'
I had no clue what was going on, my heart raced, as did my thoughts.
He could tell I wasn't going to reply so he just spoke.
'You aren't beautiful, I wasn't talking to you'
He pushed past me and grabbed some blonde, preppy girl and kissed her.
She then yanked the black wig off his head, revealing some short, cropped, light brown hair. It was all a joke. He wasn't alternative or sweet. He was just a popular imbecile trying to mess with my feelings.
I ran away as fast as I could, leaving school. I didn't care about my education, I didn't care about a thing. Just being away from that idiot.I sent out letters to 3 of those who I hated. Oliver being one out of many of course.
Dear (student I hate name),
I'm new to the area and going to be joining your school!
I thought a nice way for us to meet was by throwing a
huge party! There's an old, empty hall down by the road.
I thought that be a great place to have it! There will be:
food, alcohol, music, basically everything you want! Party
starts at 8:30 pm on Friday!I hope to see you there!
- your hopefully new friend, Catherine. xxxx.
Little do they know, Catherine doesn't exist! Ha! Perfect plan. They have a huge surprise coming their way.Friday, 8:30 pm, Abandoned Hall.
I watched from a curtain as they all arrived. Perfect. By all, I mean 3 students. Oliver and the blonde girl who I soon found out to be called, Alice, had arrived. Perfect. I put some music on. They looked at each other in their dresses and tux's. They looked excited. So did I.
'Catherineeeeee' Jessica yelled, the one who put the pin on my chair.
I sneaked past them and locked the door, they all looked at me.
'Robinson? What the hell are you doing here?!'
I smiled at the floor. Then looked at them straight into their eyes. I laughed. Oh I laughed so loud, so hard. It was hysterical. They're confused faces. My joy. I had to act fast.
'I warned you!' I chucked. 'Oh I warned you a lot.'
'Your insane....' Jessica said with fear in her eyes.
'Maybe....but maybe that's because of the way you treated me'
I laughed as I looked at the large, stainless steel, kitchen knife I held in my hand.
'AHHH!' Jessica screeched.
'Oh I knew you'd be the noisy one' I went over to her open mouth and grabbed her tongue. I slowly cut it and blood sprayed from every angle, her words were muffled. I sighed as I threw it to the ground.
'SOMEBODY HELP-' Alice yelled, as I did the same to her. Except this time, I cut her lips off too. Slowly her red painted lips, off like a long line. Oliver stood frozen in fear. I walked up to him and placed my hand on his cheek.
'Now, now, my favourite part'
He was shaking violently. I grabbed his hand and slowly began to cut one finger off. He couldn't scream, he was too scared. After a while of tormenting the 3 imbeciles, I finally had enough of their existence. I strolled over to Alice who was lying on the floor, missing an arm.
I slit her throat and her face went white with her eyes rolled to the back of her head. Then, I walked over to Jessica.
'Now, remember the needle you placed on my chair? Well....it's time I got my own back'
I stabbed the knife into her chest. 50 times I did this, I counted each time.
'Ah....'
I walked over to Oliver who was still shaking in fear with his missing fingers.
'You know what they say....save best til' last' I plunged the knife into his heart.
'You broke my heart, so now I destroy your's....'
His eyes stayed open, his body limp.
Police cars were outside. Someone called the police from all the noise.
I have lived to serve my purpose. It's time I escape paying for my crimes.
I placed the knife to my neck, and pulled it across.
Now all I see is blackness. The moral of the story, is if you hurt someone enough, whether it's verbal or physical. They will eventually get their revenge, and you shall pay the price.
