That was it. Phil knew it was Dan, he'd seen his Instagram profile, which made him easily recognizable. Phil deleted everything that could ever reveal to Dan that who he just saw in the bathroom was Phil. Every selfie, everything except his name.

Opening the messages him and Dan shared, he scrolled through every message, shaking as his thumb hovered above Dan's username.

philadelphia: sorry haha. Just saw all of this.
dannotdaniel: I heard someone's phone going off in Lester and Cheque's car dealership. He acted really weird.

This caused a knot to form in the pit if Phil's stomach. It didn't even matter as to why, or that fact that Dan thought that he was really weird. Or acted really weird. Did it matter? Those things went hand in hand, right?

philadelphia: wow that must've been incredibly awkward.
dannotdaniel: I have to go there again tomorrow so imagine how it's going to be. Where are you going to be at that time? I don't really want to be alone

Phil thought for a moment.

philadelphia: on the other side of town lol
dannotdaniel: ??
philadelphia: i live with my mum so I can't really visit my dad, but yeah, he owns that dealership.
dannotdaniel: oh. Sad you can't go. :(
philadelphia: why haha you just met me.
dannotdaniel: I'm feeling adventurous.

Phil wanted to type so bad that he was lying deeply to Dan, but something in his gut told him it would be better this way.

philadelphia: lol maybe that awkward kid will be there from today.
dannotdaniel: I hope not.
philadelphia: don't be so rude.
dannotdaniel: ??
philadelphia: sorry.
dannotdaniel: what was that about?
philadelphia: just forget it Dan.
