chapter 1

∆€ Kadie P.O.V €∆

"KADIE WAKE UP, YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL" My mom yells from downstairs.
I groan, pushing the covers off of me. I go to the bathroom and take a quick shower.

After, I changed into white high waisted shorts, and a black crop top.
And put some makeup on.
I grab my shoes and put them on. I walk downstairs seeing my mom in the living room.
"Hey, goodmoring" I said to her going into the kitchen.
"Kadie we need to talk" My mom says getting up from the couch, and walking into the kitchen where I was.
"Yeah?" I said while grabbing a glass of milk.
"W-well... You know how I told you I will never forget about your Father" she starts off saying. I nod for her to continue. Oh gosh what if she will forgot about him and move on.
"Sometimes people have to move on sweetie but he will always be in my heart" she says, a tear rolling down her cheek. Oh no dont cry or I will too.
I walk up to her and hug her tightly. "I get it mom... So whos the lucky guy" I grin at her, changing the subject.
"Well were metting them tommorow or some other day!" she says hugging me once more.
God mom, why...why did you have to move on, we were good this way you dont need a man to be happy.
"Well I have to go if I dont want to be late" I say backing away from her.
"Bye, sweetie" she smiles at me.
"Bye" I mumble under my breath.

{ IN SCHOOL }

Me and jenna are currently walking to our lockers when I feel someones hand on my shoulder.
I turn around to face kyle, jenna's brother.
"Hey" I smile hugging him. No, we arent dating, we dont like each other. We're just friends.
"Hey" he says smiling, hugging me back.
"Oh my god guys guess what happend this moring" I say, pulling back from the hug.
"What" they both say in sync.
"First, you guys have to stop talking at the same time" I said chuckling.
"Okay" they both said again. Ugh whatever. I roll my eyes but continue.
"So my mom said she had to move on" I take a deep breath.
"She found another man" I said trying not to cry.
"Oh my god kadie" jenna said hugging me, also joining kyle.
"What if she forgets about dad" I sigh and pull back. I need to stop everything is going to be fine...I hope.
"But what if the dude has a kid our age" kyle says. I look up at him, giving him a look saying 'really?'.
We're 18, I just hope I dont have a brother. I wrinkle my nose in disgust.
"Lets go" I said closing my locker, and heading to my first class.

School ened but I still need a ride, so me and jenna are in the football yard seeing Kyle practice.
"So... When are you meeting your stepdad." Jenna says breaking the silence.
"Well I think tomorrow, im not really sure when" I said looking down at my shoes.
I jus- ugh nevermind its not worth talking about it.

They ended football practice and we are just waiting for kyle to come, so we can leave.
"Look there he is with...joey?" She said squinting her eyes. I turn around to see the one and only joey birlem the schools player. He is known for playing with girls feelings. He has every girl drooling over him... Then theres me I hate him.
He shouldnt treat girls like that.
"Can we leave now" I said to kyle.
"Um, Im here too" Joey says from behind kyle. Kms.
I glare at him, but the only thing he does is smile at me. Not falling for it.
"Hi" he says smirking.
"H-hi" I stutter, why the fuck am I stuttering for.
I turn around,grab jennas' arm and start walking to the car. I still dont know how to drive but mom said I can learn next month.

JOEYS P.O.V

Damn she was beautiful. Her brown eyes looking in to my green ones. How her brown ombre hair looks.
You know what I'm just going to date her then dump her like the rest of the girls I dumped.
But she didnt smile at me like the other crazy girls did.
"Joey what do you want to do today" kyle says, grabbing his football bag.
"How about we just hangout at...your house?" I said.
We start walking to the parking lot where jenna, and kadie were.
"Sure" he finally says.

"Hurry your ass up" kadie says.
Damnn fiesty... Love it.

We get in the car, me in the back seat with kadie and jenna in the passenger seat.

I turn to look at her. God how can someone be so perfect...SNAP OUT OF IT JOEY..you cant fall in love.
She turns, and sees that I'm looking at her. I feel my cheeks turn red of embarrassment.
She turned back to look outside the window.

Well this is going to be hard to get her.
