chapter 6

Kadies P.O.V

"And I just slipped" Jacob(sartorius) says telling a story.
I laugh trying to imagine how he slipped.
Jacob and I got assigned a project together but we don't know were to do it.
"Hey where do you want to do the project at?" He says reading my mind.
"Um well how about my house?" I said.
"Yeah, sure" he says giving me a small smile.
"Okay well I have to go see you after school" he says walking away.
I sigh and go get my lunch.
When I was about to go in line I see Jenna with her phone.
"Hey" I said scaring her.
"KADIE!" she whispher yells.
I laugh and pick up her phone that fell.
"Sorry, come on let's get in line" I say and we both start walking in line.

I really hope Joey won't come over with his dad today.
Joey and Jacob....well they don't get along to well.
"Kadie?...KADIE" someone's hand waves in my face.
"Omg sorry, what? Sorry I was just...thinking" I say.
"Mhmm" she says and grabs a tray.

We grab our lunch and sit two tables away from the "popular" girls.
More like Barbie's.
Me and Jenna just talked about what happened today.
Until...Emily came over with her tray that had pudding,milk and juice.
"Hey kadie" she says with her squeaky voice.
I roll my eyes but then fake smile.
"Hey Emily" I say sarcasticly.
"I just came to give you a surprise" she says and turns around and grabs her tray.
She looks back at me and dumps it on me.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" I yell at her.
She laughs and looks at me up and down.
"Bye" she says and waves.
Oh no this is not going to stay like this.

Joeys P.O.V

"I'll try" Charles says after being cut off by screaming.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" I hear someone scream.
I turn around and see kadie dumped with food.
Everybody was laughing.
I didn't know what to do.
I see her knuckles turn white and her face red.
Oh no she is not going to.
After a couple seconds she punches her.

I got to stop this.

I run over to her and grab her back.
"Kadie STOP" I yell.
"LET ME GO" she screams back.
I never saw this side of kadie, I did know she is a little rebal but not like this.
"Please stop" I whisper in her ear.
She softens and tenses up.
After I let her go I was all sticky.
She glares at Emily on the ground and walks out.

Kadies P.O.V

"please stop" I hear Joey whisper in my ear.
I soften then tense.
He let's me go and I glare at Emily that is now on the ground.
I walk out.
After I walk out I run to the bathroom.
I lock myself in a stall.

I can't do this to myself anymore.
I need to grow and stop running away from my feelings.
I rub my eyes and walk out the stall.
I look at myself in the mirror .
I sigh and walk to the office.

"Hi, um can I call home I don't feel to good" I said to the teacher in the office.
She looks at my cloths all dirty and picks up the phone.
She hands it to me.
I can't call my mom she's at work.
Hmm....Kyle.
"Hey Kyle can you pick me up I know your not feeling well but please" I say over the phone.
"Uh yeah be there in 10 min" he says as if he was JUST waking up.
"Thanks" I say and hang up and hand the phone to the teacher.
I go out and grab my stuff from my locker .
I look down and walk back to the office and see Kyle there.
"Let's go" he says.

"Can I borrow some of your clothes" I say looking at my dirty ones.
"Yeah" he says going to his room.
I follow him.
"Here you go" he says handing me some of his clothes.
"Thanks" I smile but a weak one.

I put the grey sweatpants and oversized sweater on.
I go downstairs and see Kyle laying down on the couch.
"Hey" I whisper standing beside him.
He opens his arms.
I lay down beside him and he kisses my forehead.
"Spill" he says out of now where.
"A lot of shit happened" I said trying to hold it in.
Calm down.
"First I just tried to enjoy my food but guess what that how had to ruin it, Emily.
She dumped her whole food on me and... Well Joey pulled me off her"
I say whispering joeys name.
"Aweee young love" he says.
I look up at him.
He looks down at me and laughs.
"I was kidding" he closes his eyes.
"Did, Jenna tell you about me and Joey?" I say.
"WAIT YOUR DATING HIM" he says sitting ul making me hit the table behind me.
"Ouch" I pout.
"And no" I say.
"Then...?" he says rubbing my head.
"He's m-my stepbrother" I manage to get it out.
"Oh shit" he says.
"I know" I say closes my eyes and starting to drift off to sleep.

Maybe the project with Jacob can wait till tommorow.

I wake up and walk to the kitchen
Rubbing my eyes I see Jenna.
"Jenna" I say in a tired voice.
"Kadie" she says.
"Are we still going to Starbucks" I say grabbing a drink of water.

"Yeah let me just change" she says getting her backpack and walk upstairs.
"Oh Kyle hi" I said to Kyle that was standing there all along.
"Hi" he smiles

"Jenna let's go" I say.
"Coming " she yells.
She comes running down the staris.
"OK done"

Starbucks

I sip my iced coffee and we sit down.
"Okay spill it girl" she says referring to Joey.
"Okay....so my mom said she found someone new and that came up to this. So we were having dinner and it was all awkward between me and Joey. He will glance at me and smile. But I just ignore it.
And then I had to go to the "bathroom" but I just wanted to think. He went up and and told me that he was glad to be my stepbrother. And I didn't like it because I though he.....would like me but I was wrong he doesn't" I finish off with one tear rolling down my cheek.
"But why? You guys aren't blood related"  she says
"A lot of people say that and I know" I get up.
"Come on I have to get home" I say and grab my backpack.
She gets up as well and we get in the car.

" can you tell Kyle that I'll give him he's cloth tommorow." I say.
"Yeah sure" she says and leaves.
I walk in and see Joey and his dad in the living room.
"Oh honey just in time" my mom says getting up from the couch.
"Hi Steve ,hi j-joey" I stutter.
He smile.
God even his smile kills me.
What?
"Kadie please go change so we can eat" my mom says killing the eye contact me and Joey had.

"Yeah I'll go" I say.
I walk up the stairs to my room.

JOEYS P.O.V

"Yeah I'll go" kadie says and breaking the eye contact we had.
I see her walk up the stairs and I just can't help but just hug her in my arms.
My dad gets up and helps kadies mom do the table.
Their distracted , this is my time to talk to her.
I get up making sure they won't hear me.
I run up the stairs as quietly as possible.
I walk down the hall and find her room.
Without knocking I open the door.
I whished I knocked.
"OH M-" she screams but I cover her mouth.
She was only in her bra and underwear.
"Shhhhh" I say.
I take my hand away from her mouth.
"What are you doing here" she says putting on her leggings as fast as possible.
"Oh uh" I didn't know what to say I was stuttering to much.

I have school Monday kms.
But anyway I'll update the next chapter tommorow.
