Jimin wants to wake up to birds chirping, sunlight beautifully seeping through his curtains, and the fresh smell of coffee.

Instead, he wakes up to honking, sunlight stinging his eyes, and the smell of something burning (probably because of Taehyung). 

To add on to that, he also wakes up to a few messages from Yoongi and eleven missed calls.

He quickly slides his phone in his hand and opens the messages.

Jimin i'm so sorry

Oh my god i'm so so so sorry

I really wanted to talk to you, 

but something came up

I can't tell you what happened, but 

i'm really sorry

Jimin scoffs at that. Don't worry hyung, I think I already know. Having fun with other girls usually results in losing track of time.

He continues reading the messages however,

I'm coming home tonight, let's do something special?

I'll come straight from work

I really need to tell you something

I love you xx

Let's do something special after you've cheated on me. Sure, why not? 

Jimin suddenly feels the urge to call Yoongi. So he dials the recited number, and waits for him to pick up. Unfortunately for Jimin, he doesn't have to wait that long.

"Jimin-ah.." The elders voice comes. Jimin doesn't remember the last time he heard that voice. Doesn't remember the last time Yoongi had said his name. 

"Hyung," is all he can manage, his voice still raspy from the sleep. It comes out more pathetic than he thinks

There's a pause on the other line, before Yoongi speaks up again, "Listen, I know you probably hate me so much right now, and I'm really so—"

"Are you really coming home from work?"

Yoongi's clearly surprised by the question on the other line, "What?" he asks.

"I know what's going on, hyung. I'm not stupid. I know you're not coming back from work. I just want you to say it. To tell me, that it's all true."

There's a long pause on the other end, and Jimin knows exactly what kind of shocked expression Yoongi must be wearing right now. It's been a few seconds, but Yoongi eventually speaks up. "I—I didn't expect you to find out. Guess there's no point in lying anymore huh?" He laughs bitterly. He even has the nerve to sound disappointed about Jimin finding out.

Jimin feels his walls breaking, "Why?" he asks, "Why would you do that?"

Yoongi's voice softens. "I wanted to. I wanted to show you your worth, Jimin. I wanted to let you know what you mean to me. You know I can't put my thoughts into words that clearly. So I thought I'd do this."

Jimin's upset, yes. He's terribly sad, yes. But he's also angry. Very angry. After everything they'd been through, was Yoongi really going to define Jimin's worth? What had Jimin done, anyway? He feels the anger seeping into his head. He feels his veins throb. Yoongi sounds satisfied. Happy even. And Jimin's not going to give Yoongi what he wants. Yoongi's made Jimin cry many times, but this time? This time, Jimin's going to show Yoongi that he doesn't care (even though he really really really does). He's going to face Yoongi, and tell Yoongi that he's better of without the other. 

"Come back, soon." He says, plastering a smile on his face. He knows Yoongi can tell he's faking it. He hopes Yoongi thinks this hasn't affected him one bit. "I'll be waiting."

"Hey, you sound a little upset. What's the ma—"

And then, Jimin hangs up.
