Max had been home for a few days, then was off doing a commercial, and now he had one night at his house before he was supposed to be jetting back to L.A.. Flinging his bag onto the end of the sofa he sat down and pulled out his phone.
He and Scott had been chatting via text and email since their encounter in L.A. and Max already knew Scott wasn't working that day. Bringing up the right screen he quickly tapped out a new message.
"Hi Python, having a fun day off?"
"Don't call me that! And yes. Been to the gym and now lounging by the pool."
"I'm jealous."
"How'd the commercial shoot go?"
"Nightmare - no one knew what they were doing."
"Bummer."
"Will get Terisa to write them a stern note."
A laughing emoji came back.
"Will be down your way tomorrow. Wanna meet up?"
"Sure. Why don't you come stay?"
That kind of derailed what Max had been planning to say next. He had never expected that offer. He almost said no because he wasn't really sure how his vampire nature would react. It wasn't that he thought he wouldn't be able to control himself; it was more that he wasn't sure he should encourage any of his more possessive personality traits.
Then again he didn't want to upset the burgeoning friendship he and Scott were developing. Staying with friends was something people did all the time and refusing would probably be weird.
"Might be paparazzi coming out of the woodwork."
"Give them something else to talk about apart from you and Bossard then."
Scott really was serious it seemed.
