Chapter 6
Charlie's POV
We heard a sharp whistle come from the shadow of the person. The stallion immediately calmed down lowering his large head down to the out stretched hand. Sunlight starting to break the horizon. The figure was becoming clearer and I was beginning to see that the figure was smaller than they originally thought. The small figure looped her bow around herself and grabbed ahold of the stallion's mane, quickly they pulled themselves onto the back of the stallion. My leg was asleep so I adjusted my position and looked at the others they seemed to be doing the same thing. A sharp snap rang out in the silent morning, My head quickly snapped to the left to see a broken stick under Nora's foot. She cursed out silently. I heard the distinctive sound of a bow being drawn. My head snapped back to where the figure had propped themselves up on the stallion's back their bow drawn and aimed at our group. I slowly turned to see miles grabbing his sword. I look beside me, my crossbow was back at camp. I was unarmed. As the sunlight broke the tree line I saw a young girl a little younger than Danny on top of the pitch black horse. But a closer look at the girl showed a torn shirt and a bloodied shoulder and arm wound. The horse stopped, the girl realized how big our group was. She stared at us for a few seconds before she was about to take off running. This pause gave miles enough time to run from the tree line and tackle the girl off the horse. I could see how the girl started to panic.
Jason's POV
The girl struggled in miles grip. She looked familiar, but I just couldn't place her. Miles tried to restrain the girl but it was no use. You could tell she was in pain as she whimpered and screamed. She yelled out into the early morning, "Aunt Sarah help!!!" And that's when I knew.
A/N
Hey guys long time no see. So I decided I was going to start this story back up again. I got an iPad mini for Christmas so now I have something to write on. I just want to take all of those who have stayed long enough and waited for this part. I'm going to Try and post weekly. I hope all of you had an amazing Christmas or holiday. Also have a fun and safe new year.
