Prologe ( encounter with shu) reader's pov

I ran through the forest. They were getting closer. I had been running for days, no weeks. Well I think so anyway, I had no track of time.

I heard the footsteps coming closer. I had to escape but how? Quickly the adrenaline kicked in and I managed to escape to a near graveyard.

I looked around. There was a nearby Victorian mansion. It was gorgeous. It was black with white stripes and had several stained glass windows. I could have stared for days but the sun was beginning to set. I was not safe outside so I carefully creeped inside, making sure to shut the door quickly yet quietly behind me.

The view was perfect. The hallway was furnished with paintings, bookshelves and the odd sofa here and there. The stained windows added to this beauty, painting the hallway with multiple colours.

Suddenly, I heard something fall. In a panick, I ran upstairs and into a room.
The door locked behind me. A shadow suddenly flew before me and I was pinned against the wall...
