Hey, I never wanted this. To be someone different, not normal at all. I was surfing that day, talking to my friend Claire over the phone. She can be a little bit dramatic. "Sam, you really need to get a boyfriend!!!!", screaming into my ear. "You're popular in high school, beautiful, smart, very athletic in every sport there is, nice to everyone around you, but above all else... you don't have a boyfriend!" I smirked as I was carrying my surfboard with my right arm, and was holding my phone to my ear with the left hand. Did I tell you that she can be a little bit dramatic? "No, I am perfectly fine with being single. I don't want to be in a relationship, where I have to worry all the time and kill myself over a bad break up. So, I'm fine Claire." She sighed and gave up, we talked for awhile until I found a really cute guy, laying face down in the sand. I didn't see his chest move up and down, "Claire, I think I found a really cute dead guy. Bring your truck A.S.A.P." I hanged up, and placed my board on the sand. Flipping him over, I laid my head on his chest. 'THUMP... THUMP...', good he's still alive. I have this secret that nobody knows about except Claire. I can control the Elements, like Fire, Water, Earth and Air. I know, I know. I sound like the Avatar from Avatar the Last Airbender. Except I don't have an arrow tattooed on my forehead. At least, I'm real and he's not. Looking around to see if anyone was on the beach, I lifted my arms up, breathed in some air and lifted some water from the Ocean onto the unconscious guy. He woke up with a giant jolt, "What the hell?" His blonde hair was wet with sand and ocean water, his sea green eyes were full of surprise and shock, has a slight chiseled jawline coming with a six pack and broad shoulders. To me, he looks like a bad boy, not my type. "Umm... saving your life?" It came out more like a question than an answer, he smirked at me and said, "I'm fine now female mortal." What? No, "Thank you?" My eyes glowed blue, "Look here! I was trying to save your worthless ass! I though you were dead and that you needed help!" The waves of the ocean were growing bigger, the clouds grew darker and covered up the sun. He looked at me in pure shock and awe, my hair was floating around me, when I was about to kill him with lightning. My friend Claire came just in time, I floated down. She ran towards me and hugged, sweating and trying to catch my breathe. I managed to say, "Now leave Merman." He looked at me in amazement, "How did you know that I was a Merman?" I gave him a "duh" look, "I'm not blind!" Laughing, I wiped my forehead that was covered with sweat. "I don't know. Ever since I was a little girl, I was different. Seeing things that other people couldn't, when I could." He got up, grabbed my arm and pulled me towards him. "Come with me to Atlantis!", we were chest to chest now. I bit my lip, "But I don't know who you are. You see... I can't go to Atlantis with a complete stranger." He sighed, he bent his head down and kissed me on the lips. I could feel Claire in total shock, because she was gasping behind me. He stopped kissing and started smiling like he was a child at Christmas time opening up presents. "Now, you have to come with me Daughter of Neptune! Because I kissed you and it's the Merfolk way to get married. And I'm the Prince of Avalon, Prince Stephon. And I have been looking for you all of my life, I just never thought you would be so beautiful." I pushed him away, how can this be possible? I turned and ran away from him, he ran after me. He got ahold of my hand without me knowing, starting a tornado of air from under me and flew into the air. "Sam!!!" Turning my head to see Stephon... holding my hand. God damn it!!! I just had to fly back down, hence my sarcasm. Once my feet was on the ground, we were in an alley. I turned around to see Stephon, his hair was blown back. His hands were at his sides, smiling at him. My hands were behind my back, I snapped my fingers and a ball of fire was in the palm of my hands. Throwing one at his feet, he jumped back, I made my tornado of air and flew away from him.
