Chapter 2

Kana's POV

Dad had went to find the manager to file a complaint about what had happened.

I was sat on a bench near the vending machine watching Ireland and Autumn skate. I sniffled into my arm when I felt a warm presence next to me.

" Hey, are you ok? I saw what happened. What that man did was disgusting. " He said.

I looked up and saw that it was the same boy I ran into.

" I'm fine. " I whispered, smiling slightly at his kindness.

" I'm Fynn . " He said. " And you? "

" Kana.. "

I caught him smile.

" Cute name. " He pats my shoulder.

" And just so you know.. I am actually a boy, not a pervert like that man said. " I added.

" I know. You're transgender, aren't you? " He asked. " It's ok, I am too. I'm still closeted to non family though. "

I smiled, realising my theory was correct.

" Well, yeah. But I haven't got a binder anymore. So I'm a girl again. " I muttered.

" I still think you're a boy. " He smiled and stood up. " Have you got 25 cents? I wanna get some soda. "

" Uh, " I fumbled around in my pocket and pulled out some loose change. " Yeah, here you go. "

I smiled and he went over to the machine and, surprisingly, came back with two. He hand me a Dr Pepper and smiled.

" Thanks.. " I beamed at the kind gesture. " You didn't have to do that. "

" I did. You needed something to cheer you up. " He said as I sipped the fizzy beverage.

After that Fynn stood up.

" Come on! Let's go skate buddy! " he smiled.

He called me buddy.

He likes me. I might actually make a friend for once! I stood up, not wanting to miss out on this opportunity.

We got onto the rink and began to slide along the edge. We fell over a few times but that was ok because we laughed it off. Then, Fynn pulled out his phone and opened snapchat.

" Selfie? For Instagram. " He said.

I smiled into the camera lens, being the polka dotted puppy. He took the photo and posted it one Instagram.

" What's your username? I need to tag you and follow you and all of that Jazz. " He asked.

" @prince_kana_blender " I said and then my phone buzzed.

Fynnstoleyoursenpai started following you.

I smiled and followed him back, like the photo and shut my phone off. We continued to skate until we got exhausted and went back to the benches. Whilst we were taking Dad and the man approached me.

" Mr Woods like to apologise to you for his hatred towards you. " Dad smiled.

" I am sorry for my inconvenience. As i have broken the employee policy you have been given a free ticket for two. " He muttered solemnly before walking back to his boss. He hen looked over his shoulder and mouthed,

" Gay Prick. "

Subconsciously I shuffled slightly away from Fynn. Fynn sighed and reassured me he's just a common homophobe and he just took me the wrong way. I smiled at this. He was so sweet. Why couldn't all people be kind? Thinking about it, you can't be nice without at least some bad propel otherwise there'd be no contrast.

My dad then turned to me again and spoke, " Kana, it's time to go home. "

I frowned, knowing that I had to leave my brand new friend. I stood up slowly and began to reluctantly walk away from Fynn.

" Kana.. I.. "

I turned to look back at Fynn.

" Can I get your number? It was fun today. I enjoyed it. " He smiled nervously.

My jaw dropped instantly, my mouth going at what he just said, I couldn't reply, I just handed him my phone to type in his number.

" Yeah.. " I muttered quietly.

Could this finally be the friendship I was looking for?

On the way back, I was sat in the car texting Rosa.

Rosa: Sup B?

Me: Hey dimwit 💫

Rosa: Wassup my American boy?

Me: I love that song OML 💦😍

Rosa: I figured

Rosa: Whatcha been up to then?

Me: I think I actually made a friend for once!

Rosa: And the Grammy for the best joker in the world goes to Kana Blender! 😂😂

Me: Rosa I'm serious 😂

Rosa: Wait really? Wow

Me: Yeah his name is Fynn, he helped me after some transphobic person kicked me out of the male bathroom.

Rosa: Ok ok

Rosa: Wait

Rosa: So

Rosa: Firstly,

Rosa: Where is this transpobe I'm gonna shove a banana down his throat so hard 🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🌚

Me: 😂😂😂

Rosa: Secondly,

Rosa: Well done child.

Me: Gtg, my phones gonna die

Rosa: oK

Eventually, we reached home. I went up into my and put my phone on charge.

Awhile later, once my phone had charged a series of messages came through on my phone from Fynn and Rosa. I had about 15 missed face time calls from Rosa and 2 text messages from FYNN.
