"Are you in any pain?" Jack asked as his thumb ran over my hand. After he had visited a few months ago, me and him had exchanged numbers, with marks approval of course, and have become really close.

So yes, I consider it okay that he's holding me hand.

"A little. Not much though." I said plainly. As the days and weeks have gone by I've just been getting more and more bleak. I haven't been my happy self. And I mean, duh, I'm dying so that could be part of it. But usually I was happy in other serious situations. Or I could fake it. Now... I can't even fake smile.

"So I think that, while you're still here, I'm gonna move in with you guys. So I can be there for you and what not. But if course up give you and mark your sexy space." He said smiling down at me. I chuckled and took ahold of his jacket, bringing him down to hug me. He sat on my bed and wrapped his arms under my wires and around my waist.

"You're too sweet." I hummed into his shoulder. He laughed, a muffled sniff followed as he buried his head into my neck. I felt little droplets of warm water pool on my neck.

"I'm gonna miss you, you know?" He cried. My stomach flipped as I hugged him tighter. Crying myself. I didn't want to see him like this. I liked him when he was happy and loud. Always cursing and laughing. Having such a good time.

I ruined that.

Like I've been tending to do.

"I know. I'm kinda unforgettable, huh?" I joked as jack backed up and I wiped my tears. He just played with his fingers and smiled.

"I guess so."
