When You're Having Fun || Poem ||

The sand falls fast when you're having fun...

With each sand particle you stir your fingers in,
The gritty feeling leaving it's marks upon your skin;
As if it were a cat's tongue never to leave its place,
You get swallowed up in the sandbox...

Slowly,
But surely,
You try to get up,
But you can't.
Your reactions,
Give father time the satisfaction that he wants:
"There is no escape,"
Is whispered in the soundproof hourglass.

As he laughs,
The faster the sands fall,
The more your heart races,
The quicker you play in the sandbox,
Throwing sand out,
But no...

You can't survive this chaotic mess that you've caused...

You take your last breath as the sands cover the top of the hourglass...

Father time flips the hourglass over to watch the sands fall one final time...

As the last particle scores it's touchdown across the field,
A lifeless body lies cold in the chamber of the hourglass...

The sand falls fast when you're having fun...

AU: Just a random poem I wrote today, feelin like crap as well. If anyone wants to talk I would definitely be more than willing and it would definitely help out a LOT...

Thanks!
