"Mom! Can Sarah and I go play by the lake?" Asked Jimmy. "No, there's been bad things happening! You can go to her house and play though!" She shouted back. Jimmy left the house and went to Sarah's. He knocked on the door and heard quick heavy footsteps. The door flew open and Sarah shouted and told her mom that she was going to the lake with Jimmy. She slammed the door behind her, grabbed Jimmy's hand and ran. Jimmy stopped her and told her what his mom said. Sarah comforted him and said nothing bad would happen to them. They started running again until they reached the edge of the lake and walked to the edge of the dock. They sat next to each other and stared into the distance. Jimmy broke the silence and asked Sarah what has been happening. "There's this story of a woman who was here with her baby when some men came and took her baby while another drowned her. Rumors say they just tossed her into the lake, but nobody has found a body," said Sarah, "but it's just made up to scare people." They sat in an eerie silence and still water. "Poor woman," said Jimmy, as he leaned forward and held his hand out to the water. "I bet she misses her baby." A pair of beautiful eyes blinked open in the water and a hand grabbed his wrist and pulled him under. Sarah screamed and ran back to the edge of the lake. She turned back and saw nothing but a calm lake and heard the soft buzz and hum of nature settling for the night.
