A regular day...I suppose

It's a regular day in California San Diego. Warm weather, nice people, busy streets. Nothing special really. Or so the news anchors say it is. But in reality there's a crisis happening and everyone is too stupid to realize it. Not me. I may not know anything about my past but I know what's going on in the present and right now there is a virus going around called the "fading flu" but I call it "explosive cannibalism". Why is that? Because people would eat other people, and you know what they call those kind of people, No, creatures? Yep you got it! Zombies. Honestly the government is trying there best to keep the people from freaking out but seriously the people need to know.
My name is Misty. And no I'm not a Pokémon trainer so don't even ask. Sadly I stick out like a pimple on your forehead. You don't see a lot of girls with naturally blue hair...well it's not natural but it's a side affect from something that I can't remember. But back to the story. I am not an ordinary human being. I am a cybernetic Organism or for short a cyborg. Sadly society is kinda mean toward us but so far I haven't encountered any problems with anyone. Maybe because I always wear a jacket and pants to hide my cybernetic limbs instead of shorts and a tank top. I don't have many friends unless you count scientist, then I have a lot. Now don't let that make you think that I never stepped outside in the outside world cause I have plenty of times. It's just that I'm not really a social person. I live in this facility called the Research Center Of Reinforcing Somatology. Or RCRS for short. Honestly I hate it here. I want to live in a regular home with regular people and live a regular life but something had to happen to me. The people here say that I used to have a normal life and family but a tragic accident had happened, most likely a car crash. Me being so young and naïve I believed them. But yeah enough about me, let's talk more about this virus that's spreading like the Smallpox back in 1972. The symptoms are coughs, sneezes, cold chills or heat flashes, major sweating, weak muscles, numbness, and sometimes nerve damage. But most serious symptoms are bleeding from the nose, ears, eyes, and mouth, decaying of the skin, color changing of the skin, and failing organs. People recommend going to the hospital but I've read enough books and watched enough movies to know not to go to the hospital during a zombie apocalypse. Like seriously do people even think?
