*Chapter updated: 18-03-17*

I woke up to the sound of wing flapping in our front door. I sat up and then ran down the small kitchen we had, where surprisingly, Morgan sat and mum stood, talking.

My footsteps created attention towards me, and so, the two looked at at my direction.

"Hey, Heaven." Morgan said. She was sitting on a wooden chair, her arm rested carelessly on top.

I walked slowly towards the table, "Hey.."

Mom's brown eyes looked into mine and gleamed green for a brief moment. I gulped.

She knows...

I sat down, "Where did you go?" I asked. Morgan tossed me an apple as she bit a juicy chunk out of hers, chewing it to pieces.

I ate mine, waiting for one of them to answer. Mum flipped through pages of an almost-to-ashes book. "We uhm.. went to the northern town." Morgan responded as she finished her fruit. I furrowed my eyebrows in pure curiosity, "For what?" I asked. They've never been to any of the four towns without reason. Especially not now.
Mum slammed the book shut, almost mad. "The king of the whole country sent a search party in the south to look for who burned almost all of the north side of the land." She said furiously, looking down at the closed book. I then became just as furious as she was, "I didn't mean to!" I argued, slamming my right fist onto the table. Morgan stood up, warily, keeping eye on the both of us.
"You were not careful, my dear.." Mother said calmly.
My mind wandered with words that I wanted to say, but couldn't.
"Mother.. please.." Morgan pleaded, softly touching her arm with both hands, as if stopping her from hurting me. Mum's eyes glowed blue—Like the skies in the winter season.
She's sorry...
I was sure mine gleamed red—like the blood running through my veins.
Morgan pulled mum gently, whispering something in her ear that I can't make out.
She stepped back and looked at my hands, which I didn't notice, were burning the table. I pulled my hands away from the burning wood and put out the flames by hovering my open hand on top of it, extinguishing the bright fire.

I shook my head and murmured an apology. "I gotta go and breathe some fresh air..."

None of them replied as I didn't give them the chance and shut the door behind me.
