(Y/N)'s POV

It was a crescent choker...

The moon shone as it lay on the black felt that made up the choker. I lift it up and looked for a name. In the back of the choker in faint silver writing was the name, Chojo Tekina. I immediately dropped it as if it were hot iron. He was the one who wrote all of those notes. I felt a blush grow on me. Truth was, I liked him too. I then heard a faint 'ding' from my phone. Reaching into my back pocket,  I pulled out my phone and saw a text from Chojo. The reason why we were texting in the first place was because we were paired together for a school project. Through those three weeks of working with each other, we have managed to learn many things about each other. So instead of never contacting the other person, we always talked about random things.

Reading the text, he asked me if he could meet me up at 7:30 pm. Quickly typing in a answer, I go out the door with my friends yelling, "Go get him, tiger!"

  --- Short Time Skip---

I pant as I run up to a nearby hill. Once, I get to the top, I collapse on the fall in a heap. "You look like you just ran a marathon." said a familiar voice. I look up to see Chojo holding a electric lantern. "Hey Chojo!" I said as I look up at him. He sighs before holding out a hand. I take his hand quickly and the moment our fingers touched, a blush arose from both of our faces. When he pulled me up, instead of letting go as I thought he would do. His hand lingers in mine for a for a few seconds. I clear my throat and he looks at me curiously before his eyes shot straight to where our hands were still holding onto each other.

Immediately,  he lets go with a red face. "I'm so sorry! I don't know what came over m-" I shush him. "It's okay, Chojo. We're friends after all. A little hand holding doesn't hurt anyone." I said. He rubs the back of his hand behind his neck. "Yeah." he says as he starts to walk towards somewhere. "Hey, wait up!" I said as I jogged up to him. We walked side by side in silence before arriving at a cliff with a great view. "Whoa, Chojo, this is one heck of a view!" I said in awe as he sits down. "Hehe, thanks!" he says as he sets down the lantern.

After he sets it down. He lays down and he then pats down on the ground next to him. Smiling, I lay down as I look at the star filled sky.

"Hey, look! There's the Big Dipper

"Hey, look! There's the Big Dipper." I said as I pointed at the constellation. Chojo smiles before pointing at another constellation. Chojo told me that along with demons and the paranormal. He also liked to look at the stars at night. He wasn't like this at first, he was very cold and rude towards everyone with the exception towards his fellow club members, but even with them he was still cold. He told me before that I was the only one who he would be more like himself with. That did mean that I was pretty close to him and that was the reason why I didn't tell him my feelings for him yet. I didn't want to ruin my friendship with him.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard my name being called. "Huh?" I said looking at Chojo. The said boy shakes his head, his bangs moving along. I always wondered why he had such long bangs covering one of his eyes. I always wanted to ask him, but I didn't want to hurt his feelings just in case. "I have to tell you something, (Y/N)." he says as he looks at me with a serious face. "What is it?" I asked him. He takes in a deep breath.

"I really like you, (Y/N)! I always have! Please go out with me." he says as my face explodes with red. "I-I like you too!" I said as he perks up. "Really?" he asks me. I nod and his face morphs to happiness. "Yes!!!" he says as he hops up and jumps around. I laugh as I start to chase him. "Hey! Stop, you'll trip and fall!" I said as I try to catch up with him. Then as if on cue, he does fall down and because of the sudden fall. I wasn't able to stop in time and tripped on his legs. Even more embarrassing was the fact that I was on top of him. Both of our breaths hitched in our throats.

Chojo takes in a deep breath before he starts to speak. "Hey, (Y/N). I want you to know something about me before we're officially a couple." he says as I nod. "I know your not the type of person who judges people by their looks, but..." he takes in another deep breath, "brush aside the hair that covers my right eye and you'll see what I mean." he says. Gently I brush his hair out of his face and I gasp in shock. There on his right eye was an ugly scar. The scar ran from the top of his eyelid to the middle part of his cheek. He looks away in shame.

"I knew it. It's hideous right? I'm sure you don't want me to be your boyfriend anymore right?" he says. I quickly shake my head in disagreement. "It's not that, Chojo! Yes, I'm disappointed because you never told me, but I was shocked because of the size of the scar. How did you even get it in the first place!" I said. Chojo then tells me the story of when he was six, he was running in the woods nearby his house when he tripped and fell on a sharp stone. The stone cut his eye and he couldn't see anymore. He used to have so many friends at that time, but when he saw his scarred face, They ran away in fear and eventually began to bully him one by one. So he then hid the scar when he entered highschool. The occult club members did eventually found out about the scar, but they accepted him despite the scar. Instead, a few of them even covered their left eye in honor of him.

"I was so afraid that you'll be scared of me if I told you." he says as he cries on my shoulder. I pat his back softly. "Chojo... you've been my friends since the beginning of the school year and you know that I'll never leave you. Especially now since, I'm yours now." I said to him. He stops crying and looks at me with a smile. This time however, it wasn't fake. It was genuine. "Thank you, (Y/N). Thank you." he says before leaning in slowly. Both of our eyes were closed as we slowly inched closer for the long awaited kiss. Finally after what felt like centuries, our lips finally met.

I don't know how to describe it. The way his slightly cold and chapped lips molded perfectly against mine. It was delicate like a glass slipper, but it flared passion and love for the other. Fireworks exploded a vibrant joy of emotions. We pulled away with pink faces as we panted softly. He then wraps his arms around me and we watched the stars and moon. We were silent for no words needed to be told to tell the other that we loved them. The fireflies emitted a faint glow as they glided around in pairs as if they too were couples.

A/N: IDK why, but each time I see the part where it describes his scar, I always think of Kovu from The Lion King 2.
