Sage's Secrets

On My Way

As soon as me and Liam leave the beach together we go to my house. I grab my bags and make sure I have everything. I say goodbye to all my brothers and my dad. They are what I will miss the most. Not the beaches, the shops, or even my mom's hair salon. I really wish I could say goodbye to my twin sister Emileigh but she ran away after she got pregnant at eighteen on accident. No one has seen or heard from her in a year.  The whole incident was awful my mom was not alive then so my dad was in the depression stage still. That made the situation even worse because my dad was depressed and depressed plus anger does not equal something good. Emileigh really wanted to keep the baby but my dad insisted that she had a abortion. Then she goes on saying

"If you don't want to keep my baby then I will leave!"

"Don't you dare say that" my father yells with rages " I lost your mother I can't loose you but right now we can't afford a baby so it has to go!"

"I hate you!" She yells I'm sure people in Canada could have heard her. After that blow up I remember her packing and hugging saying if I look hard enough I will always find her and not to worry she will find me soon but she has to go. I hug her which only seems to be a second and after that she is gone and I haven't seen her in a year I wonder how her baby is or if she even kept it.

"Come on Sage we have to get going I still have to pack" says Liam. I really want to stay with my family forever but if I ever want to live my dream then I have to leave them sadly.

"Ok I love you guys I will call you when I land and I will send you pictures every second......and dad don't worry I will be fine I promise I will still come visit for the holidays you won't loos your other little girl."

"I know honey it's just this is reminding me of what happened to your sister and I really wish I didn't react the way I did" You can tell if he is really sad to see me go.

" I know dad but think of it this way you now have a house full of boys and they will keep you company" I walk out the door holding Liam's hand so tight I am surprised that his circulation doesn't get cut off. We go to his house and get everything together I see him put a stuffed animal in his bag. Wait I see him put four stuff animal in the suit case.

"Why do you have four stuff animals in your suit case?"

"Oh those old things I asked my little cousin if I could have them cause I thought in France they could kind of be like your brothers sorta I don't know it's stupid never mind"

"No it is so thoughtful and cute how did you come up with that thank you it's perfect!"

"You really like it?"

"I don't like it I love it!!!! I am just worried about getting on the plan I don't know if I am ready."

"I will be there with you and make sure that you are 100% perfectly fine if you are even only 99% fine I will make sure to fix it immediately." Liam has always done sweet little gestures like this and that's what makes me fall in love with him more and more everyday. We get to the airport  and I am already getting shaky and scared I feel like I have turned so pale and that the world is spinning. Liam squeezes my hand and says

"It will be ok just keep thinking it's almost over and just remember I am here with you."

"Ok before we get on though I need some tea" I was never a fan of coffee like the other girls I was always a sucker for tea.

"No problem one large tea coming up" and Liam goes on the search for tea he is so thoughtful and sweet.

We check our bags in and I have my hot tea in my hand which soothes my throat. We get to the waiting area and then I hear.

"Flight 34 to France you are now boarding" and then I have a mental breakdown.
