Warning: Panic Attacks
Sorry...

Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap! He was in love with his best friend! And so was Adam, Adam needed to fuck off. Dean stumbled out of the locker room, ignoring whatever else the little bitch had to say. He sat under the bleachers for a few hours and tapped at the metal poll. He had lied when he said he was bi, he was just trying to make Cas feel better, he was actually straight. Or so he thought. He was in love with Cas, and Cas had a boyfriend that was also in love with him. Shit.

Dean jumped up and ran to Baby, he needed to talk to Cas. He sped most of the way and finally pulled up to Cas' door. He peered through the window, like a stalker, to see if Cas was home. He was, and Adam was there too. Dean could hear every word. Adam's back was turned to him but he caught the end of their conversation, "Cas, I love you." Cas' eyes went wide, all color drained from his face, his breathing became shallow and quick. Adam seemed confused, but Dean knew what was happening. He was having a panic attack.

Dean decided it was a good time to burst through the door. He ran up to Cas who was now sitting down with his arms wrapped around his knees. "W - what's happening?" Dean turned to Adam and glared, "What did you say to him?" "I just told him I love him." Dean turned back to Cas, he cupped his face in his hands, "Shhh, Cas it's okay, it's gonna be okay." He hugged Cas until his breathing returned to normal, Adam just stood there and stared the whole time. Cas looked up, "Thank you Dean." Dean bent down to whisper in Cas' ear, "Should I tell him?" Cas shook his head. "Can you just tell him I'm not feeling well?" Dean nodded. He untangled himself from Cas to stand up. "He's not feeling well can you please leave." Adam looked angry. "I just told him I love him and he started freaking out! Then his friend bursts through the door and saves the day at a convenient time. Now you're asking me to leave? Without telling me what the hell just happened?!" Adam's yelling was scaring Cas. His breathing became shallow again. Dean pushed Adam out the door and locked it. "Fucking idiot," he muttered, then he went to comfort Cas.

A few hours later Cas was fine and they were talking about Adam. "He told me he loved me..." "Do you love him?" "I don't know. I - I can't. I promised myself." Dean nodded. "Cas you need to let yourself be happy. I don't know if being with Adam will make you happy, but if it will let yourself love again." Cas nodded, "Thank you Dean, you're a good friend." "Do you love him?" Cas was caught off guard, "What?" "Do you love him?" Cas sunk down. "I don't know."

Cas didn't know, it was a question that Dean and Adam were holding their breath for and Cas didn't know. "It's a simple question. Do. You. Love. Him?" "Why do you want to know so badly?" "Because I feel bad for the guy! He just poured his heart out and now he had no idea how you feel!" That was a lie. "Cas, do you love him?" "I don't know!" "Do you?!" "NO DEAN I DON'T LOVE HIM!" Dean was overjoyed, he wanted Cas to end things with Adam quickly but his excitement got the best of him, "Break up with him, you don't want to string him along." "Cas tilted his head to the side, "Just because I'm not in love with him doesn't mean we need to break up." Dean rolled his eyes. "Wow, Cas the heartbreaker, guess Josh had more of an impact on you then you thought." Dean didn't realize he had said that until he saw the look on Cas' face. He didn't mean it. "Get out!" Cas' eyes welled with tears. "I said get out!" Cas shoved him out the door and locked it behind him. "Cas I'm sorry!" Dean yelled through the door. He waited there for a twenty  minutes before leaving. He needed to let Cas cool down, then he would apologize.

Little did he know, Cas had crawled up the stairs and to his medicine cabinet.

He took out his anxiety medication along with his depression medication. He just need them to calm him down. His vision was so blurry from the tears that he didn't see how many he took. It was a lot more than prescribed. He dry swallowed them and flopped onto his bed, he closed his eyes and fell asleep. Little did he know the medicine was working against him. It stopped his heart.
