Chapter 1 ~ Adrenaline

We were setting the world on fire, changing the world with our guitars, and changing lives on this tour. I sat in practice with the guys, at one of the beginning shows for the Set The World On Fire Tour in good ol’ Dallas, Texas.

I watched our ‘new guy’ CC twirling his sticks around, I smiled, he was really entertaining and really fun to be around, the others were the same, fun and awesome as always. I sat rocking out even though it was just to practice our set list.

After we finished I was still buzzing with energy and jumped up and down. Ashley noticed this and leaning on an amplifier looked at me oddly and chuckled.

“Andy, calm down! Who gave him fifteen monsters?” Ashley says sipping some bottled water.

“I’m hyper off of air Ash, not monster this time.” I smile at the bassist of Black Veil Brides.

“It’s not hyper Andy, it’s called adrenaline.” Jinx corrects me, tuning his Ouija guitar.

“You’re right, that makes it sound cooler.” I laugh and look in a mirror nearby to fix my wild mane of hair, playing with my little tuft of blonde hair until it stood out perfectly.

“Priss” I heard Jake Pitts whisper/cough kiddingly.

I spun around and gave Jake a ‘look’ and folded my arms –like I’m some stuffy, irritable fashionista- and said. “I’m a what?”

“You heard him.” CC laughed, standing beside him, his drumsticks in one fist as he leaned against his drum set.

“Totally not.” I say in a sort of girlie voice –very difficult to accomplish and pull of- and tossed my hair turning around and then spinning back again as they began laughing.

I give them one of my genuine smiles and open up my bottle of water, sitting on the vanity’s counter and smiling at them. “C’mon guys don’t make fun of me, admit you’re excited to preform and go on tour again too!”

The guys all shrug and give me the benefit of the doubt and smile at my jumping around and laughing like a complete maniac.

Tonight’s concert was going to be awesome.
