Winterfell

The sun discretely simmered through the wrecked curtains of my room and shone straight into my eyes, waking me up directly. My vision was blurry, and it was way too bright. I rubbed my eyes and sat up in the little haystack I called bed. I looked around my room. There was no human-like shadows standing in any dark corners. Good. Rule number one that my mother taught me: always be aware of your surroundings.

Where am I? A small bed chamber in Winterfells castle. The walls were made out of roughly cut stone, and were decorated with two paintings for each room. A small desk was messily placed in the back corner of. It was filled with parchment and ink. Even though I was a servant, I could still write and read. Believe it or not. Lord Eddard treated all with respect and kindness.

Rule number two: be aware of yourself.
Who am I? Lovannah Snow, daughter to Robert Baratheon and Terolynne Ironwood. Of course, no one is certain that my father truly is Lord Robert, but my mother insists on it. But it could just be another one of the Ironwood lies. Although I feel it in my heart. I have the same dark, thick hair as him. The same fair skin.

Rule number three: never trust anyone.
Which I've learned during my eleven summers.

I tiredly made my way across the tiny room to a stool that stood in front of a tiny, broken mirror. I stared at my own reflection. The way the sun fell on my face completely disfigured it. After my eyes had gotten used to the shadows cast across my face, I looked wearily at myself. My eyes were almond shaped and bright grey. My full lips were a beautiful pinkish tint. My skin was clear. I would've been beautiful if it wasn't for my beak of a nose. But, that's the Ironwood genes isn't it. I went to use my chamber pot... I won't describe that much to you.

I sat down in front of the mirror once again. I brushed my hair as a poor attempt to tame it. But to no luck. My hair was like taming a lion, it just couldn't be done.

I changed out of my grey sack that was my nightgown, into something a little more royal. I am lady Sansa's hand maiden, of course I should look pretty.

My gown was blue, with white lace above my chest. It was made of an itchy material, that was a lot like a potato sack. It hugged every part of my body, creating illusions of curves that I didn't have.

I blew out all candles that had been lit through the night. I was terrified of the dark, but lady Sansa made sure that I don't get scared, sleeping alone in a large, dark, cold room.

I took a deep breath. The thick smell of mould and dampness made me cough.

It's time to begin my day.
